I've had that happen on maybe two giveaways [like twice on one of them], but that seemed to be the site hiccuping each time. It also differed in that, the keys didn't actually send to the winners each time.
Also only seems to occur when you're adding keys after the giveaway ends, haven't had any problems if they were added on creation.
Not sure if any of that is relevant to your circumstance, given how consistent and differing your situation is.
But, well, if you got how to handle it figured out, that's what's important :)

I did my first giveaway and the recipient marked it as received, and my level went up, so it looks like it's all is good on that end... but if I go to my "Giveaways Created" section, under the "Sent" column it still says unsent. If I click it, it will mark it as sent until I navigate away and it marks it as unsent again. As well, I still have a red notification over the present icon on the upper right side of the menu at the top of the page. Any way to make this go away?
