Eh I have these
Experiments show that male rhesus macaque monkeys will pay to look at pictures of female rhesus macaques’ bottoms.

I have most of those, but maybe for a giveaway? Thanks for the link :)

There's always a bundled game lurking around the corner...as long as you added your GA before the game was bundled I think (or ends before).
Happy Cake day as well!

Happy cake day anyway!
I just played Anna's Quest yesterday. I thought it would be a little more kid-friendly, but it's actually pretty complicated even to convey what's going on in the story to four-year-olds.

That game is too dark for kids of that young age despite it's seeningly childfriendly graphical style. I was quite surprised when I played it.

There's a whole thread in the Steam forums about it...I considered it carefully. So far it hasn't been too bad, and we've even had our first encounters with "The Devil". I've gotten good at skipping, paraphrasing, and/or laughing at dark stuff so it doesn't seem so scary. I've been playing ahead then re-playing it with them so I have an idea what to go through quickly. In my play-ahead, I'm about to try to enter the castle, so maybe I'll change my tune later on! =)
To date, I'm having a harder time explaining the complexities of language and puzzles than I am not scaring them.

Well, Edna & Harvey also looks like some kids' game, and the first one deals with clinical insanity, the second one starts off with the player progressing by meticulously murdering a whole orphanage of children while a narrator cheers him on.
Daedalic writers have some issues sometimes. :D

I'm really hoping for something among the lines of Edna & Harvey (since I bouhgt one for myself too) - pretty child friendly graphics but some 'shocking'/awkward moments/tehems which would never fit into a childs game - looks like I'll be not disappointed!

Yep, same here, only bought it a little while back. Should have known Daedelic will bundle it…
Well, I guess c'est la vie.
Also, happy sweet pastry day!

Don't male rhesus macaque monkeys realize they can get all the female rhesus macaque butt pics they want for free on the web? ;_;

That reminds me of a recent study.
One zoo installed a television to keep the chimps from getting bored. And, well... the chimps quickly figured out how to use the remote, and then spent most of their time watching a porn channel. ...yep.

I'm interested in Chaos on Deponia!

Given that Deponia has been free...

T1 (1.49): CV = 1.497
T2 (4.99): CV = 20.238
T3 (9.99): CV = 31.4835

Note that some game may show up as wrong points due to ongoing sales of the bundles that include the game, resulting in temporarily higher CV gained.

Daedalic loves to put their games in bundles over and over and over. There's really no point in buying them on release. They will be bundled shortly after anyways. I highly doubt that's good for their business and I wonder why they are doing it. Due to their quality those games deserve better treatment imho.

I wonder why they do this as well. Their latest game Deponia Doomsday was already very cheap for Germans on release day and have a feeling will be in a bundle soon or at least heavily discounted at Steam Summer Sale. Why buy their games at full price when they do this even if the games are good? I know I will wait for that one even though I really like the Deponia series and want to play it.

my take: Why buy any game at full price, ever ;-)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I had to get Firewatch on release, just because. Didn't want to wait till it was cheaper. I know, totally irrational, and on 99,99% of all cases I share your point of view, but for some seleceted games an exception of the rule needs to be made - to honor the devs, to give yourself a treat, to follow impulse rather than reason for once...

They're probably not worth more considering production cost etc. They're producing games at a very impressive rate

To do them some justice they also act as publishers. For example Anna's Quest, Dead Synchronicity and Randall's Monday are games they have not made themselves (only to name a few).

I really love their games! :)
Found it quite strange as well that they bundle them so fast and so many times. But they seem to earn a lot too, so idk. Daedalic are well known and make quality games. Perhaps they just want more people to play them.

"...I can't remember how I got them."

They've been in multiple other bundles from Humble, IndieGala, and Bundlestars. If someone doesn't have them already it's a surprise.
