If you think that's bad I won't even begin to tell you what I know a certain Russian forum does...

I forgot about CSMania but there is another forum that just works non-stop to crack all steam games, distribute them, finds any way they can to generate codes, and just other general shenanigans... but they also have a nice css server

It's probably not. It's not only Polish forum though, it's the biggest game magazine in Poland - CD-Action. They are adding full version of different games to it and Dark Messiah just happened to be one of them. And because it was delivered through Steam, they decided to gave away keys on their forum only to members.
Did not take long until someone spotted it and started to exploit it via proxy.
Keys from there are technically legal only if you have bought the magazine from this specific month + you can't give away this key anyway ; )
So - why would such games be even available on the SteamGift's list anyway....

it should be taken into account that not all people are able to find or use polish proxies to get free mp for dark messiah. so I think giveaways should still be active for games that can somehow be obtained for free. The MP is NOT free, but using a few tricks can make you get it free.

Why do you think a link in a Dark Messiah giveaway sends us to the Steam store page? Because it's the whole game. Which can't be get for free legally. Is it so hard to set proxy, to register and to get free keys? No, it'll eat aprox. 2 minutes of your time. And people receive 5% of cost of a giveaway. If someone creadted a Dark Messiah multiplayer (which is free) giveaway, why users get points? Unfair, don't ya think? We don't lose, we get points which aren't meant to be got by us. By the way, many stupid morons don't wanrn it's multiplayer only in descriptions. So we are able to be mislead. Do ya think everyone wants to do such kinda bullshit as adding an each giveawayer of Dark Messiah just to ask full or not? It's wasting of time. One moe thing: it's against rules. Doesn't matter what i said before. It's just against rules. That's all.

IIRC, I've only seen one legit Dark Messiah giveaway since I've been here. Three months and hundreds of MP keys. Sigh. It's an interesting idea, but I really don't think people would select the "MP only" version in the dropdown because that's not why they're submitting the MP key anyway.

As i see, many people don't read rules and still give away Dark Messiah MP keys.
My stupid suggestion to stop these stupid things: Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (in the list of possible giveaways) should be separated into two possible variants. The first is "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Multiplayer key". The second is "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic Multiplayer Singleplayer + Multiplayer". If a giveawayer chooses the second variant, everything will go as usual and he will be able to give away. If a giveawayer chooses the first variant, he'll get a "read rules first of gtfo, free keys aren't allowed" message or something like that.
I just saw so many Dark Messiah giveaways which later were asked to be removed by giveawayers because "i didn't read rules" shit, etc.
What do ya think?
