Hype ?
Eh. Like Bayonetta and many other late console ports, I own the PS3 version already. Great for the people who didn't want to branch out into other systems, just hard for me to get excited about old games.

If Google banned everyone that searched for porn, they wouldn't have any people to use it.

PC Gamer also talked about this http://www.pcgamer.com/bayonetta-update-teases-a-vanquish-pc-release/ either way, not excited, I'd rather want Starhawk ported.

Starhawk is a Sony-published Playstation exclusive though, so chances of that being ported is somewhere below zero.

Huge fan of the original, very excited.
The original console version only ran at 540p (upscaled to 720p), and at 30fps. This game should benefit a ton from moving to PC.

If this is true, I'm gonna be so freaking hype! Finished it on my Xbox a few years back and it's definitely one of the good but less known TPS out there. Hopefully the release price will be around of Bayonetta, I'd buy it Day One :)

I played it on PS3. I still have the physical copy for PS3. It was a very nice game. I'd totally buy it for PC as well.

late ports again! maybe tried it on bundles not for full price ofc :)

Well, Bayonetta launched at 19,99€, I think that's a fair price for a proper remaster/port for a game that never was on PC before.
Certainly a much better deal than, say Bulletstorm, which was re-launched as full-price title, with bonus content added as paid DLC on top. Seriously, that's a stunt that earned Gearbox another "Fuck Off" point from me

Since bayo broke 100k steam sales, at least according to steam spy, it's likely already made money for Sega and platinum. Really would like vanquish, but much prefer to see anarchy reigns

Just by looking at it, it looks like yet another 3rd person shooter. But people keep saying that this is a really good one, and Platinum does have a good track record (although they've faltered a bit recently).
Their Bayonetta port was by the way really good (as was the game itself).

So, Sega & Platinum Games first did that 8-bit Bayonetta thing to announce Bayonetta 1 coming to PC.
Now, yesterday, Bayonetta got an update, which didn't do anything except place the image below in the "Extras" folder.
That's Sam Gideon's power armor from Vanquish.
No official confirmation yet, but based on recent antics I'd say we can expect a port of Vanquish coming soon-ish as well. Which is cool, as Vanquish is one of the few 3rd-person shooters where breaking cover is actively encouraged, instead of just following the template set by Kill.Switch (which primarily insipired Gears of War, which in turn inspired many games)
