Tomb Raider vs. Far Cry 3

Personally I'd buy Tomb Raider, and then just download the free version of the first Far Cry.

I have both and I enjoyed Tomb Raider more. FC3 is your standard Ubisoft open world game. Played one, played them all.

Well... I really like both of them.
In FC3, you've got an open space, an island! you can explore and do a lot of crazy stuff! :D And the main story is just as great as TR!

If you're a fan of TR series and like exploring tombs and discovering ancient secrets along with great combat system. While TR is made like an open world game as well, it's still not as open as FC3. This is a really good choice too!

I really can't decide which one I like better, cause as you said they're different, very different. So I explained, maybe that'll help you deciding.

Both great games imo. Buy both through a russian reseller for $8.

Tomb Raider, hands down. So enjoyable in so many aspects ;) My personal GOTY 2013.

Still have not played FC3. But I loved Tomb Raider. My brief Steam review of it.

I think fc3 is better for mp if u have friends to play with.
But tombraider is better story, and better voice actors. I hated Jason in fc3 the story is very lame and his dialogue was some of the dumbest crap i had heard, ppl liked the craft system but they jst lock u out of normal fps carry system to make u slaughter animals. Blood dragon is far better at single player with same guns and animal attacking ppl stuff,and take bases.

Those are different games but both are really good. FC3 - open world, enemies not respawning, beautiful world and gameplay, best FC to date. On the other hand we have best TR game. But it's shorter, but really good too. Reminds of uncharted a little. I'd go with FC3, i enjoyed it more. But anyway buy both when you the money.

Tomb Raider is the almost elder game in the world...if You didn't played it yet...just forget it and buy Far Cry 3=) + Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is awesome!!!

Tomb Raider. Also, take in consideration that Far Cry 3 needs an Uplay account, in case you don't like extra layers of DRM.

I didn't play Far Cry 3 but Tomb Raider was very good game. If you like good atmosphere, sometimes puzzles (there is just few) and very good story, you will like it. Only AI is horrible. I can highly recommend this game.
