Hello,
I just received an email from team that says sthat someone has done an account-query via a product key to see who owns this key. Never had such a mail before. Is this a scam?

Don't worry about it. It happens when someone else tries to activate a key you've already activated and they press the request button.
They don't get any info or anything like that. The email only goes to you.

Thank you, I just wondered about it and was a little worried.

No worries, bud. I think it freaks everyone out the first time they get one. :)

Yes, I think so, too. :) The most I was worried about, that the special character "ü" in the word "für" (for) looked weird, and that's unusual for "normal" mails.

Basically if you ever redeemed a CD Key from some public free giveaway or posted list of ninja keys, maybe someone else tried the same key you used and clicked the "find my email" button or however it's called. And a certain giveaway site intentionally gives away already-given keys to "fight back" at people who take multiple keys and keys that they're not actually using.

I assume the latter. The only "Ninja-Key" I redeemed was a key for "The Banner Saga" and that was weeks ago and is already revoked.
The only other Free-GA-Keys I redeemed I got from IndieGala as a massive GA.
