..is it even possible? Im looking to buy Dementium II HD, but the store price is way too expensive than I can afford either in euro or pound, so I want to buy it in dollar. However Im not sure if the system can detect in that case if you dont live in the situated area though (for the purchase I would use paypal as most of the times)
Since the game is region-free, at least i dont need to worry about that though...

I don't try with gmg, but vpn/proxy works on gamestop, nuuveem, bundlestars and indie gala. Someone was also trying on humblebundle(because sega gives Sonic in Germany instead of Typing of the dead) and it also was ok.

I don't know if and how strict they are, but they could potentially revoke games if they found out that a VPN has been used. I however doubt that they do that on a regular basis. But yes, they can revoke games.
From the TOS
"Purchasing a game via a proxy server or VPN, will result in the loss of the purchase and we will not issue a refund."
Can their system detect it? That might depend on multiple things. Like payment method, registered address, old IP logs (if an old account is used) and what kind of VPN/proxy you're using.

The TOS says that you're also giving them access to "monitoring your computer’s random access memory for said unauthorized third party programs." The third party apps discussed are not directly related to "VPN software" but rather" software "to bypass authorized servers and/or third party software to modify any aspect of the Service.

yeah but what about browser built-in proxies? I mean the one that you dont have to individually install but is integrated in the browser or services like hidemyass.com

A proxy is a proxy, end of the story.

Its easy to know by comparing the ip used to lists of proxies ( this including vpns, tor by default, or whatever you want. How you run the service won't change the fact that those ip are public and thus easy to compare ). A private proxy would be another story.

When I registered in GMG for the first time I had price in £ which was good because normally it was the same as in $, but once I needed to buy another copy of a game I already bought and I had to make a new account(because you can't buy the same game twice), so in the first account I registered the price was in €, so I decided to use HotSpot Shield to make another account and pay in $, it was always working but lately with their new site updates all my accounts became €, so I think I need to make new ones....also I used VPN only to register never to buy because otherwise payment process didn't worked. They also detect if you use same credit card in different accounts, and automatically can block your payment process, but if you have a problem you should write to their support.
