I started refreshing at 9:59 (my time). Saw the game pop a few seconds after 10. Didn't want The Ship so I kept refreshing to see how long it'd stick around.

It was gone by 10:01.

Miliseconds... I've also missed it totally... it was Hatred, like fizfix said. Can't even blame folks for getting the duplicates, as long as they don't bot, as there is no time to read and think before hitting the claim button and praying, that it will actually claim the game.

Seriously, it's more like a matter of 2 seconds, than 12... but at least the The Ship: Murder Party key GA they did not start at even hour, probably because they've got so many reports (mine including) about the bots exploiting the GAs.

The Ship has been launched with a slight delay. It sure totally confused bots, but also normal users, so it lasted longer, indeed.

From what I gather, there's no Captcha or anything, so most of the keys are claimed by bots :/

No any protection, but I don't really believe, that Captchas are any longer successful in stopping the bots... would rather think, that bots nowadays can solve them faster, than humans, lol. My suggestion was, that for any future giveaways they require a lvl 5+ Steam account is linked to Kinguin account. It wouldn't stop all, but would stop many.

I don't know, the mass giveaways that do have some kind of Captcha usually last much longer than a couple of seconds. Who knows though, you might be right. If Kinguin hoped to get some popularity with this, I don't think it works :D

It should be secure, but that doesn't mean I want to link my acc with every website that asks for it. Might be just me being paranoid, but given Kinguin's reputation, I assume I'm not the only one :D

I've actually got lucky with Magicka, The Ship, Tooth and Tail, and with not working World of Warships - Admiral Graf Spee Pack - all with the same account. The message "You have already claimed Your own free game, or promotion has ended" means, that either the keys have run out before your "order" has been processed, or that you have clicked by chance twice (got one of the game, to my surprise, in this way).

LEGO Pirates of the Caribean lasted not even 2 seconds. Literally. I refreshed the page at 12:00:00, nothing, 12:00:05, the game. Clicked to claim, already claimed. Refresh, gone. Didn't even get a chance.

I merely clicked on the clock in the taskbar in Windows ~20 seconds before the event so I could see the seconds counting down. On XX:XX:59 (the 59th second) I refreshed the page and was ready with the cursor over the claim button. :)
