I'd say Indigala is a pretty good knock off of steamgifts. ;D
I kid.
In all seriousness. Most/all games on steamgifts aren't region locked so there isn't a need for one really. And if there was there probably wouldn't be too many gifters, though there'd probably be less entries as well.

I think he wants to appeal to those living in China instead of having region locked games

Google translate is having trouble with that page... if you read chinese, can you give me the link to the part of the site that's like SG?

So you're looking for a Chinese equivalent of Steamgifts but you can't actually speak Chinese? What? :P

Dude, if you don't get what the guy's after, don't bother replying :P

All he wants is to appeal to the chinese people (because 99% of the games on steam are in different language for them)

And they are incapable of doing that themselves? :P What do you think is more likely: He wants something that benefits him or something that benefits others (which as I said, for some reason they are incapable of doing themselves). I simply used logic :)

Have you confirmed with me whether I know what he is after or not? Have you checked my steam profile to see if I am his friend and that we frequently speak? Do YOU know what he is after? No? There goes your "logic", which you so used.

... -_-

What Jonex says makes perfect sense. Given the information presented in this thread, it is perfectly logical to ask of OP why he wants a Chinese website for something, when he can't even use the site, himself..

He has asked a question. Instead of giving him a straight answer, he is cross questioning. Oh, but then, you are determined to make me feel guilty or regretful from what I have seen in my interactions with you :P nvm though.

Dude.. My only annoyance with you is stuff like this. Like, what the hell do you even mean? Your post makes 0 sense to me, the way you worded it; I cannot understand what you're trying to get across.

"He has asked a question. Instead of giving him a straight answer, he is cross questioning"????

Oh wait, as I was copy pasting it, I understood what you're trying to say. Let me fix it so it is clear what you're saying:

"OP has asked a question. Instead of giving him a straight answer, Jonex is answering with another question" - I replaced all your uses of "he" with who you're actually talking about. In your original version, your first "he" seemed to be talking about Jonex, as it was a reply to my comment, of which the topic was Jonex's comment / question. You see the confusion, now?

And again - Jonex's question is entirely understandable. I was going to ask the same thing, before I saw he'd already done it. Jonex asking him that isn't trolling, annoying, harassing or in any other way negative. Why would you ask for a website you cannot use, because you don't understand an iota of the language on said website? Makes perfect sense to be asking that.

What on earth are you talking about? Let me re-phrase so that you understand me this time:

What is the logical reason someone would ask for a Chinese version of the site?

You need to stop looking for a fight, it will only get you into trouble here.

Allow me to enlighten you. He needs Chinese language translations for his game McDROID and would like to appeal to them, if someone would be willing. Logical enough for you?

Also, this pretty much covers up what I think of your last line

Oh right, of course that's the reason! I wonder why on earth I didn't think of that.

Kasabian are a good band, but I don't see the relevance. I was just giving you a little bit of advice that you can follow or dismiss. Up to you.

Greeting from China.

I use this site. If you can't read Chinese why would you want a Chinese site anyway?

You are aware that approximately 99.99% of people here just pirate every single game and piece of software anyway right? That still leaves a lot of people on Steam and such due to high population. I am sure there is at least one Chinese version of Steamgifts type site somewhere. I am sure there are other users from China on these international sites like SG too, but you are right in perhaps thinking the average Asian person (not just China, and maybe not only Asians)only use websites in their own region and language.

SteamCN, beaides being a good example of people here (China) not integrating with the rest of the world as mentioned above and making their own site to gather at instead of Valve's - has all the stuff you would expect on fan sites, Valve forums, etc..... it's also packed with pirate torrent links to every game too - just in case you don't want to buy it on Steam or whatever. Actually scanning around more. I guess the pirate torrent links there are more relevant for the posters on that site that are discussing running cracked Steam clients...

BTW, I think you can Chrome translate SteamCN pages if you sign in first.
