it stays, yet you cannot view entries nor comments if you sync account after leaving group.

Don't think so. I'm still able to view my own giveaways for groups I left a long time ago.

Uhm, I left the group months ago. Even if I didn't sync my account every few days (which I do), it would automatically sync it for me...
