and stand up, walk around every 1 hour
especially when you're playing epic or marathon mode in a world map

I get you, It becomes hard to track what is going on the screen especially if there is a lot of stuff going on. I must say I am slowly adjusting to it!

I love this game. Had completed 100% of the achievements....and then they noticed and released an expansion. lol

Are the expansions any good? They are quiet high in price at the moment, but once I play off the standard game I will surely purchase some expansions.

When Civ5 goes on 75% off sale, grab the "upgrade to gold". It's $5 when on sale and gives tons of DLC.
Gods & Kings expansion is worth the price alone. Don't worry about Brave New World (newest one) until it comes way down in price imo.

I was going to try multiplayer at some point, my friend keeps encouraging me to play with him. I will eventually. What is the most common issue you have with it?

People get randomly disconnected, and once that happens just inviting them back to the game doesn't work usually. Have to get everyone to leave the game and exit to the main menu and start the group over again. Takes like 10 minutes to get everything sorted and back into the game. Have to save more often so we don't lose much progress.

CIV 4!!!
Actually, it's not so much that I'm a Civ 4 snob, but I have 3 and 4 and have never played 5

Civ V is a little simpler and more streamlined. It is a fantastic intro for a new player to the Civ series. I also enjoy how cities expand more organically instead of just a static radius as well as the ranged combat and one unit per tile.
Civ IV had 3 fantastic things (completely unrelated to gameplay) that made it very fun to play:
Both games are great in my opinion. I am looking forward to getting the latest expansion soon.

It's amazing! Watch out that it doesn't suck your life away though. It's the most addictive game I've ever played.

It truly is. I keep telling myself that I will eat after one more turn but ughh. I can't I am already on turn +100. I can't stop playing. 4 hours straight! xD

It's an OK game. The expansions supposedly make it good, but the base game didn't grab me at all, so I'm not rushing to try them. It's also one of the simpler strategy games, very easy to learn.
Still, I have to congratulate Firaxis for making a strategy game that appeals primarily to non-strategy gamers.

I played it a lot(and I did enjoy it) and I hear BNW really revamps the game and I'm really trying to not get sucked into it again, but I might pick up the expansion sometime this fall when they decide to do a legit sale instead of just the glitch price like they had during the summer sale.

Ikr I played it for one month when I forgot my mouse and it works well with touch pads :3 I win every time I verse my friend using multiplayer XD It's recommended not to play with other people online because they usually rage quit

I won a giveaway yesterday and it was indeed Civ5, and after a short download I started up the game. My first impressions were that the game is hard to understand and learn, for someone like myself who doesn't play a lot of strategy. However after completing the tutorial and starting my first game, I begun enjoying the game so much and I have to admit it's truly fantastic, there are no boundaries and the fun is constant. I don't doubt I will be spending a lot of time playing this game, what do you guys think?
