I have a problem with this game ... I can not launch game due to the lack of old Ageia physx driver (Nvidia fault because removing them) with new Ageia physx (I have AMD graphics card and OS is Vista 64 bit). When I start a game I get pop-up with game settings and when I set all and want to get into the game get error: assertment failed message: failed to init Ageia physx SDK and a black screen so then I have to restart my PC because I can not do anything with it.
Pity that I can not pin up pictures as proof to you but I found this video which is in the Russian language with the same problem I have https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C5q_rTHR2o I found a patch that works no matter what graphics you have and fixes problem but then I can not play anything else and I have to delete that patch so exactly where it should be installed to operate normally? I sent a e-mail problem to dev team 3 weeks ago via Steam help but just found out today that they no longer exist :/
Pls Help me!!!!

Steam forums for the game have a link to download page for the old drivers, now labelled legacy drivers. Those worked for me.

This. You can search for legacy drivers installer on the nvidia oficial web page, not only resolve the problems with Velvet Assassin, also with others old game with same problems.

You need to download some old PhysX components.

I wrote that "I found a patch" (old PhysX drivers) but do not know exactly where to install it because it bothers me when playing other games crashes, so I have to delete permanently to play normal other games.

@ Nanabanana - Where exactly did you install the patch, which folder?

Don't remember if the installer prompted for a directory. If it did, I kept it to the default one. Have no problems with games using the newer Physx versions either

I tried to put it in several different folders, but still annoying when I play something else and have to delete it and restart my PC

You need the PhysX Legacy package from NVidia. You can get it here:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.0604-legacy-driver.html

(Velvet Assassin is explicitly listed on that page, at the bottom.)

It coexists with the modern driver and has no ill effects on modern games. It is a separate driver that is only used by old games. You do NOT need to uninstall the current PhysX software (if you have it installed.)

I know, I got it ... I'm interested in where to install it because I for some reason have problem when I play other games and that's why I have to delete and reset my pc

Not sure what you mean. You just install it and that's it. For other games, you can also install the new PhysX package:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_system_software.html

This will make sure that you can run both old, as well as new games. The old games will use the legacy version, the new games will use the current version. All you need to do is have both installed.

anywhere I put the patch that allows me to play the game, it creates a problem for me with the second/other games because I have to delete it to play again normal and that's why I wonder where exactly to put this patch...

It's not a patch. It's an installer. You run it, then it gets installed. I don't think you need any "patches" or anything else.

Have you actually downloaded and installed it? Here the link again:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.0604-legacy-driver.html

What patch are you talking about exactly? Can you give a link to it, so that I know what you're talking about?

under "patch" I thought PhysX legacy driver...I ordered a new hdd to do a new OS and other programs
reinstall on my existing SSD and see whether it will be a problem again. I have now deleted all of the programs that I doubted that are in conflict and problem still exists...

...and thanks for helping me!
