Everyone's favorite Castlevania game has been released on IOS and Android in a surprise release.

US $2.99 for each store in case anyone here is interested. I know if I had a phone that can run it, I'd be getting it.

I remember this game in my childhood.
It seems to me that if you do not have a gamepad for your phone, buying it is a waste of money.

Oh, those! Well, back in my day, phones were used for calling people. Each person had a 10-digit numerical code, and you'd use that and send them your actual speech. It was like texting with your mouth, but nobody really does that anymore...

Lucky, we didn't have those at first. I would ride my bike over to Jeff's house just for his mother to answer and tell me he can't play today. 20 minutes later back up the hill FeelsBadMan. :(

Oh, we didn't either; I just lived back in the woods and hated social interaction (the feeling was mutual), so I stayed home.

I love your avatar, by the way!

My best garage sale find was picking up SotN on the PS1 for $2.

I can't imagine playing it on a phone...must play terribly.

With a controller it's basically like a PSP or Switch. Works pretty well, actually. Without controller - yeah, I wouldn't play platformers and such with touch controls.

I managed to finish all 3 GBA Castlevanias with touch screen. Wasn't easy but definetly possible! Once I got used to layout it felt almost natural.

Brought it cuz why the heck not. Shame it's based off the PSP version with the significantly lamer voice acting, but oh well.

Would love to see this (preferably with the option to use whichever voices you please) on Steam. Here's hoping!

I have the PSN version on my PS3, that'll suffice for now XD
Besides that, I have two of the DS games.
Still nice news, I'm sure we'll see the Steam version soon.

I'd rather have it released on PC, but I'm not opposed to playing it on my phone... if I ever get around to buying a controller for it. I've tried playing platformers on a touchscreen before and it only really works well when the controls are really simple, as in a d-pad + 1 or 2 buttons kind of simple.
