Steam Colour coded contributor names

Since contributor value is being removed in SGv2, there won't be any use for it anymore... Unless it would be just for esthetic.

Dunno, I'm not really fond of this idea. This just feels like this would open up the "Lol, i'm better than you because I gifted more and am officially Gold now" mentality.
I wouldn't be happy at all about this. In the end it's just about making someone's day and gifting stuff, it's no competition on who gets gold first.

Also, achievments. Yeah. Just let me find my e-pen meter.

Nah. CV doesn't need to be the primary focus of the site, we don't need to start classifying people based on their color (wow it sounds even worse now that I wrote it).

Also it would be nice if steam gifts app for android had cv values because you can't see what cv giveaways you can enter.

It will probably not be implemented on the current site, unless someone decides to make a plugin with this feature.

Consider instead this - there is no contributor value going forward.

i like my contributor value and making a few giveaways for contributors as i often prefer to gift to those who have also given gifts if contributor giveaways are removed i will no longer have use for this site and move onto steam companion like all my friends have

I am actually interested to see a color change like you suggested, but only one color, for the people who contributed anything.
It would be easier to spot the possible fake giveaways.
