I see your point, but, again, I disagree with you, my dear valuable contributor of one of the many communities on internet, especially taking into consideration that this one is already full of people who think too much of themselves for that (what I call, lovingly, their "e-penis").
I haven't created many threads in the last years, but I made years ago this very same kind of threads. They had way more noise. No mod found a problem at all. If they saw, life would go on, anyway. Oh, yes, it may seem repetitive, but, well, there was a huge gap of time. It doesn't take me much time too, especially considering what I said about not making threads for a while, since my pleasure is, indeed, in other things beside threads on a tiny forum on internet.
About annoying people, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't see any reason for anyone to feel annoyed, attacked or insulted at all, since there's literally no insult, harm or attack, just a matter of opinion about the content.
I wish you a really better life than managing content you don't like on internet while trying to impose your point of view about what really contributes to a certain community. See, I'm not saying that making giveaways isn't the main objective of this community or that I think much of myself.
