"Fallout 3 or New Vegas". You could see who had F3 as first fallout and who loves RPG games or "just" adventure games.

Fallout 2 is probably not only the best fallout but also a RPG extremely good. Lot of people started Fallout saga with the third and never played the first ones and hate New Vegas.
For me, New Vegas is better game but it has a lot of cons. First of all... Is incomplete, you need mods for the best inmersion and that shit. Fallout 3 is not a bad game, but is (imho) the worst fallout even if it has a better wasteland than NV. For me, F3 is a great adventure, but a RPG more simple and easy.
New Vegas is harder to start with because has a lot of lore from Fallout 2 and the canceled Fallout 3 (van buren originially)
