can anyone recommend any local 2 player games from mine or my sons lists please (giveaway added)

i really need some help to choose some new 2 player games from either my sons or my libraries

we like
board games
beat em ups
racing games
puzzle games
platformers
arcade/mini games
sports games like darts, bowling or baseball
but please suggest anything you think is fun but not to complicated

we have played things like river city girls, uni and packman 256 lately and ticket to ride and mega league baseball
