GTA V - Added on Dec 6th, 2014 - Still not purchased because, No Regional Pricing and not good enough sales.
It was free on Ep!c and I did claim it but the "launcher" is too clunky to use, there are no achievements and I generally dislike their practices so haven't played yet.
Waiting for 75% or more discount.

Edit: Some awesome games guys! Keep it coming and someone will find something interesting to add in the wishlist (Like my wishlist where I add everything remotely interesting)

It's on the gamepass. A perfect little game to complete using the cheap subscription ;)

LEGO® Star Wars™ III - The Clone Wars™

Added in 2011 for my nephew (but forgot about it). Removed it just now since he's a teenager and more concerned with girls than video games.

Why, The Last Crown: Blackenrock, of course. I bet that would be the same for the majority of those who use Steam and love point-and-click. I mean, the game was announced more than 10 years ago, and was declared to be almost complete almost 10 years ago. Since then, the glorious Jonathan Boakes has been promising to release it approximately every Halloween, but I somehow doubt it's actually be released at all (because the creative part of the work has been finished ages ago, and really, who wants to bother with all these bugs that prevent the game from being actually complete?) I'm not even frustrated anymore.

Also, is "Poh-taa-to" even a thing? Does anyone actually talk this way? Non-native speaker here, obviously.

Haha, IDK, I just wanted to add a poll and recently completed Psych so, added the reference...

Death Road to Canada, added in 2017.

But the oldest one might be Inside, probably added it back in 2016. I removed it from my wishlist when it was free on epic.

Hard to say since I've completely wiped my wishlist and restarted from scratch a few times

Current oldest: Super Sky Arena .. because it looked like a neat little starfox knock-off for pc. haven't bought yet bc: a) is early access with mixed reviews b) considering (a) and the lower-end graphics, i wonder if the price is worth it or not, and c) hasn't gone on sale yet and i'm a cheap bastard

Probably the oldest well-known game is No Man's Sky (I am counting time befoe wiping WL). Reasons I haven't bought yet: a) I am primarily interested in playing this co-op but have been too lazy/busy to research what the co-op experience for this is actually like. ideally, i love something like Ark (dedicated server where you can customize settings, control who can join, use mods, etc) or failing that something like co-op in Borderlands (2 players join same session, 1 player hosting)... what i have read about co-op in this game didn't make me understand very well. b) since i only am interested for co-op, that means either i need to co-ordinate buying with a friend who will actually play or buy 2 copies and try to convince a friend who will play anything if its free... c) i'm broke/currently unemployed and this game still expects $60 base price even 4 years after release... so even a 50% sale isn't that cheap.... d) i need to quit playing games and get my ass back to work

Apparently I added Morrowind to my list in 2016. Haven't bought it because I just don't know when I'd have the time to play it. Also have a few Early Access games on there from 2016 that I won't buy until they're out of EA. Likely they're already abandoned. I should look into it.

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC
I played though the first game on PSP via UMD, but since the sequel took sooooo long to localize the system was basically dead by the time it got a digital-only release (and there were 2-3 more games from the series on PSP that never got an english release on the system). Then I saw it was on Steam, along with the 3rd, so put it on my wishlist until it got a good sale...

...but it never got a good sale. Its price is like a mountain, unmovable. Been waiting for like 4 years now. -_-

Seems at least one of the other PSP games is coming to Steam now too, though not sure if it'll get an English version:

currently it's 'dynasty warriors 8 xtreme legends complete edition' since june 4, 2014. i swear it seems like i never see the dynasty warriors games with heavy discounts. i like the series but it isn't really a game i'm dying to play. if you've played one then you've pretty much played them all.

Dark Fear since 6/30/2017, so it's probably the first game I ever wishlisted; haven't bought it yet because I just haven't gotten around to it. I don't really buy games that often; usually if I get a Steam gift card for a special occasion as a gift (Steam has never once seen my credit card information), if it's super cheap and I've made enough pennies selling trading cards, or if I see a deal too good to pass up (e.g. when I got the Borderlands Handsome Collection for $6).

Second-oldest (and oldest with an actual reason) is Dragon Ball FighterZ since 3/17/2018; it's everything I've ever wanted in a Fighter or a Dragon Ball game, but I refuse to spend money on a game with Denuvo, so I'm waiting (perhaps forever) until that's removed.

There might possibly be older ones that I removed because I found them DRM-free somewhere else, or just never added because they're still in Early Access. I won't buy anything in Early Access; I use Follow to keep track of those, because they aren't finished yet.

As for your query, GLaDOS has the only correct answer.

Grand designer is on my wishlist for a long time now.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/372590/Grand_Designer/
It's a great space art software but quite expensive, especially with the "features pack". It can produce impressive results and can also be used as an asset creator for games/3d. I did not buy it yet because of financial problems.

Top 4 from oldest:

The vanishing of Ethen Carter added 27.11.2014
Chronicles of Teddy added 14.7.2015
Secrets of Grindea added 21.7.2015
Mark of the Ninja added 3.9.2015

For most of them its mostly because I have such a huge library already and my backlog won't get smaller that I don't have the need to buy some games right away. But sometimes I get a itch to play something specific (last thing was "The witness" because I ran out of puzzle games). The only exception in the list is Secrets of grindea, which a friend of mine had in a old humble bundle years ago and it looked nice but they are still in early access and I don't buy unfinished games.
So I will patiently till I see a big discount on them or I find someone who wants to trade something for it.

Divinity-Original Sin is on there for over 2 years. I delete stuff if I lose interest, or find out it's not that great.

To be honest, I probably won't buy most things on my wishlist anytime soon, unless they show up in Humble or something. I have a bit of a backlog (thanks to bundles etc) and I find that I can't justify paying the money for a game that may or may not run well on my machine. A game like Divinity, I would play 100%, but if my current machine couldn't handle it, I'd have to wait anyway. XD

Prototype: Added on 7/29/2014 (to be honest, it has been there for even longer, but I did a "reset" of my WL in 2014).

It seems like a good game, but I am still waiting for a great deal with the complete package (+Prototype 2).

On one hand, this shows us how spoiled we are -- this has been at a 75% discount many times, and we say not enough.

On the other hand, this is a natural consequence of having a big backlog -- there is no hurry to buy new games, really.
