Is this strange?

back in 2012 i was sitting around and finally managed to get my internet back after having none for about... 5 or 6 months. Well when i came back i found that i suddenly had Civilization V and the expansion Gods and Kings in my steam library. No sign of where it came from and it was 3 days before my birthday that it was received apparently. So i wonder if anyone else has ever had random games appear in their Steam Library out of nowhere.
