Three day old news, but doesn't find it here, and I'm still amazed by this:

"SEGA had apparently released a new update for the arcade game for vendors to download and apply to the game, but the patch actually contained the full game, according to MrThunderwing. As of now, modders haven’t yet been able to get the controls to work, but the menu system can be navigated with an Xbox 360 controller."

Wow. I REALLY hope that song isn't in the game as you play. it's REALLY annoying.
Plus the graphics suck for a racing game. Looks like something I used to play on my friends old PS 2.

Maybe SEGA intentionally leaked the game, to see how many of us would be driven to intentionally puncture out our eardrums to avoid ever having to hear that horrible, horrible jingle again.

And yeah, PS2 was exactly the era I pegged it at when I watched it, as well.
Kinda weird, even if their intent was to release a kind of remake of the earlier games.

My mates and I spent so much money on the orginal Daytona USA that we could have bought a cabinet. I'll keep following the news and hope something comes out of it.

Cool News.
I'm actually a big arcade and retro gaming fan myself. I own multiples arcades cabinets at home.

Sega BLAST City
Atomiswave
CAPCOM Cute
An original 1979 Galxian ( MIDWAY) cab.

Does anyone here share interest for arcades ?

Thanks.
