So yesterday i finally managed to get Batman Arkan City via trading as i can´t buy it in my country because GFWL doesn´t want my money apparently.

I am now in the quest of getting Darksouls: Prepare to die edition by the same mean, but i started thinking, do they really deserve my money (technbically not mine but you get the point) when there is no real advantage and they don´t even want to sell me the game?

I like supporting devs and games now that i have the means to do it but in this particular case i kinda feel stupid for all the trouble i get to get a legal copy.

What do you think, should we still find a way to support them, shold we screw them? Should we do a petition? What are your thoughts and feelings?

I know, but why should i beg to give them my money? I feel no remorse, but i guess the point that can be made is "do it for the devs even if the publisher is an asshole"

There isn't much that can be done about it. As previously said, blame the DRM, not the game.
It would be a shame to not play a great game because of some asshole publishers.
The only action that could work is a petition, but I don't think they give a crap about our opinion.

Well, the game most cases can be played if you get the "non-legal" version. In that way you screw the toxic DRM, but you also screw the developer...

"Region locked games" means something else completely - it's a term for games that cannot be played outside the region they were bought in (f.e. A Russian guy buys Skyrim and trades it to a USA dude - USA dude won't be able to play it).

What you are referring to are games unavailable in certain regions. That issue doesn't always come from the side of the publisher - sometimes country laws impede games sales for a certain nation (Germany, Australia).

The whole GFWL thing is annoying as fuck, but at least they are hurting themselves the most with it.
