I managed to win Sanctum around 70.

Don't be surprised if it takes 1000 entries before you win something, it's random and if you only join the really popular public giveaways, then it's really hard.

I don't expect to win anything, so when I do, if I do, it will be a nice surprise :)

The creator of this website created a nice website, gentlemen give away games they bought themself. I won't complain if i don't win. But if i win someday it's always a good surprise.

Whine when you get 400.

Give out games of your own so people will feel the need to do the same.

Group/private raffles, or save up like 200+ points, spend them on like a couple 10p/20p games, but keep like 60. That way you can enter a lot of raffles, but have an amount of points saved to spend in case there's a good raffle you want to join. That way you won't blow all your points at once, win nothing, then see a raffle that you want. "Oh that looks awesome!" you have 4 points "Damn'

Also,entering 40 giveaways is small time. There's people on here who've entered over 300 raffles and won maybe once or twice. I've 172 raffles, and won twice (1 was a private group giveaway). You're going to have to stay active on here and check back regularly if you want to win anything.

I didn't win till like 140 and my calculations indicate that only 20% of users would win one raffle in that time frame assuming an average win rate of 0.15%.

For you at 40 entries, only 6% of users would have won during that time.

Do people win? Yes. Are you winning? No.

My Advice:

Gift me Skyrim and my odds of winning skyrocket to 100% That's totally awesome and something you should do right away.

Then again, I do not say thank you on the giveaway unless it something that I really wanted or it was really nice (which might explain why I do not win... I hear kindness is rewarded so I should do it more often.)

Anyway, gift games, get invited to private groups, share amongst bros. Sad thing is I gift (not steamgifts because I only got that a month ago but to random /v bros, as they would hook me up and I would try and get them something) usually only once a year around Christmas because of lack of dosh (but ended up giving away about $50 worth of games, not much but I try to spread it around in the Christmas sales). If you are able to give away more you can join the groups and then you have a better shot at winning.

My two friends have now +250-300 entries, and still won nothing. Needs two thing - some patient and luck, and you'll be winner, i think. ;)

I can spout my own story of winning 1 out of 1, then at about 50 or 30 and then went on for around 400 something not winning anything. So it is what it is, random luck. You can technically win 3 out of 3 and never win ever.
