So I won a gift a while ago and could never redeem it due to my region (America). I got it in the form of a game key and still can't activate it on Steam. Do I have to mark as not received? The giveaway creator also hasn't gotten back to me when I asked him about it.

It was written in the giveaway that the gift could not be redeemed in certain regions? Check it. If it was written, you shouldn´t have participated, so I think you should mark as received (the fault is not of the guy who gave you the key). If anything was written, mark it as not received, since the creator of the giveaway is to foult for the lack of information.

don't do this ^^ if you mark it as recieved and you haven;t redeemed it you can get suspened or banned.

Is not allowed to make any region locked giveaways, you can get suspended for that.
