I have barely even used my Xbox PC Game Pass... I have too many damn games to play. TOO MANY!

I know, me too - too many games, too little time!

Some of the games I was looking forward to playing on Game Pass have since left gamepass...

I've been trying to get through Bloodstained, but the second half is becoming kind of a tedious grind.

They love this because you don't own the games and they can choose to remove any games any time they want. I hope the future of games isn't Netflix style ...

Geforce Now is a completely different situation altogether. First you need to own the games before you can stream them and second most of the removals have been down to the publishers pulling their games. The second will obviously happen with Game Pass but there will also be games that Microsoft remove for various reasons as well.

GeforceNow is a very different situation.
Honestly, Gamepass seems like a pretty good deal, what do you find concerning?
My only issue is more of a personal one, I like to own the games that I play, not just rent it.

For free except for the money you pay for the game pass subscription. Yeah, free.

Yep, technically it's not free

sure by that logic nothing is free. it's a pretty good deal though. game pass alone is pretty nice. they recently added crusader kings 3 and wasteland 3. getting ea play for free - that is same cost, added feature - is just a cherry on top. i mean it's $5 a month. 95% of games i play, i never return to after beating them so the subscription model doesn't bother me.

Product B, which has a separate cost, is now included in the price of Product A, without any additional cost.

How would you describe this situation without using the word 'free'? I'm genuinely curious.

I'd say something like "EA Play now added to every Game Pass subscription", or "Game Pass now includes EA Play at no additional cost", or even "Game Pass gets expanded library with EA Play". Really, there are tons of ways of phrasing it. Saying it's free is the same thing as saying the games that come each month with Xbox Live Gold / PS Plus subscriptions are free. You are literally paying them each month for the games.

I was just coming here to say this. They've basically doubled the price, which just happens to be an increase by the same amount as the EA Play price.

I'd agree with SomeoneTookMyUsernam either way. If you're paying a subscription, and you don't have access to the service/games if you stop paying, then it's clearly not free.

If the price of Game Pass was remaining $5, I would argue with you, because the EA Play portion of the transaction is still free. If Game Pass is $5, and Game Pass + EA Play is also $5, then EA Play is technically free (in the sense that it costs nothing extra beyond the cost for Game Pass by itself).

However... I just saw that the price of Game Pass is increasing from $5 to $10. Honestly it's probably worth $10... but it's very shady that they didn't mention that anywhere in their big announcement about how EA Play is now included. And now if you want to say that EA Play is not free -- in the sense that the cost of EA Play is being added to the cost of Game Pass -- well, I can't argue with that.

Nice inclusion for those who subscribe to the game pass anyway. Shame it's not the Steam version but maybe now that EA has paved the way, game pass may eventually make its way to Steam as well.

doubt it.
EA-Play on Origin also has games from other publishers (like they are million) but on steam it's only EA.

I guess Valve would not happy with gamepass on steam.

There's no reason Game Pass couldn't be the same way then, with Microsoft & EA games included when Game Pass is purchased through Steam. Not saying it WILL happen but there's no reason for Valve to say no to MS when they said yes to EA. Valve does like money, after all.

Even if they remove games we enjoy, what stops us from buying those then for a lower price. And there is plenty enough content to finish or sort out, for a bargain price. Game Pass is simply good.

The "10 hour trial" is only for certain newly-released games. It's meant to be something of a demo. There's no time restriction for the vast majority of the games.

Coming to PC on December 15th according to this: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/11/09/coming-soon-xbox-game-pass-november-2020/

But, there are a few titles you can play now with your android phone or tablet via xCloud. List is in the article above.

You can play these titles on your PC with BlueStacks and the XBOX Game Pass app with a compatible controller. I was able to start and play Unravel 2 from EA Play in the XBOX app on BlueStacks.

I've been playing Untitled Goose Game via BlueStacks as it's not available to XBOX Game Pass for PC but it is for console or android.

p.s.
A new perk is one month free of Disney+ for XBOX Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
