Kinda sucks, the new Xbox won't allow any backwards compatibility with the 360. Just means it causes clutter with needing to keep old systems around to keep playing all of your games.

No backward compatibility because, Xbox One is based solely on x64 architecture, whereas XBOX 360 + Games are basedon x86/32bit architecture...
They could make it work with quite a bit of development but where's the money in that

They could make it work with emulation, but that's something that can come in time.

I don't think so. The XBOX One doesn't have the required "horsepower" to accomplish this task smoothly.
Most likely they are gonna do this by releasing a hardware addon (eg XBOX Mini)

Wrong, the XBOX 360 has nothing to do with x86/32bit architecture.
It has a PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon processor. This is NOT a x86 CPU.

I stand corrected... I heard this on the stream after the reveal event... But now that you stated yeah, it's not a 32-64 limitation

Just stick with Steam, PC gaming will always be superior to consoles.

Plug your Xbox controller into your PC. You now have an Xbox One.

A superior Xbox One actually :)
Btw I'm excited only by the new controller, which seems to have a decent d-pad. (finally)

Except minus voice control, motion sensors, TV support (yes you can hook up your PC to a TV, but besides Steam, most software isn't designed to be controlled with an Xbox controller from the couch), etc.

Not that I'm any huge fan of the Xbone for myself (in the time since I got a computer good enough for gaming, I've scarcely touched my 360), but I do think that it is a pretty dece attempt to bring the stuff that the PC gaming community already does to the general public. The Xbone is not really aimed at the type of people who browse a forum related to Steam; it's aimed at console gamers and more casual gamers (i.e. families). It's for people whose TV is going to be used as much for movies and shows as for gaming, rather than people who are focused on gaming. I think Microsoft is trying to grow beyond the "video game console" label and broaden their market.
