How I understand the system is like this.
You giveaway games, at a set amount of game value, your level will increase.
So lets say, if level 1 is at $50 I will have to giveaway 1 or more games where the total (curent steam) value is equal or higher than $50.
And so on for the higher levels.
I also know that if the value on steam decreases, so will the progress.

If I am right, how is it possible that someone (http://www.steamgifts.com/user/apLis) gives away $54 and is level 3 and I giveaway $62 and I am currently at level 1.89?

Any information that clears this up is apreaciated

Because he gave away some games which were unbundled (Borderlands, Day of Defeat, Portal).
On the other hand, everything which you gave away was bundled. Bundled games give you less value.
Therefore, you get less value :)

Bundled games don't count for full value. You can use this calculator to see.

The value you see on your profile page is purely cosmetic.

If you give away something that was in a bundle before you only get vredit for 15% of the value when it comes to your level.

Think of it as you have value of the goods and something called real value. The real value is what you get as CV. If your game is bundled you get 15% of the actual value. That 15% will be your real value.
