Hello, what has changed since 2018? I took a long break from the website as I am physically and mentally exhausted. I use steam but I also use a lot Epic games and game pass to save money nowadays. Was there any major change during the last years?

We have onlyfans as major update where SG users share different type of giveaways

This link might help.
More specifically though, it's probably just change in community. Many people have come and go and I noticed that the Puzzle events might not be as intense and interactive as they used to be. New mods have made clearing out support tickets quicker (so I would like to think).
I haven't noticed too much of any other changes.

Serious answer: the points system changed. It's now a max of 400, with 6 points regenerating every 15 minutes (unlike before, where it was 500 max and regenerated relative to how many giveaways were being made, IIRC). Aside from that and various users coming and going, I think it's basically the same.

Looking at the stats, 2018 was after the shift away from spamming "thanks" on every giveaway you enter, right? that was also a big change, but I think that was 2016 or 2017...

The site is infested by autojoiners, the most obvious ones are mostly up to level 4 but it give much more.
I would say 60% of the active users use autojoiners.
And the owner don't care.

In my memories, the biggest concern was the ratio of points people earned by gifting bundled games, but then this was nerfed and patched.I didn't know there were more autojoiners

Take a look in, random, public GAs.
You see everywhere the same comments appear, partly in lightspeed made in the same second, + their entry in that GA.
The "thanks script" are a part of the autojoiner program, that can be activated but must not.

So you see there the dumbest and most obvious ones, that still get not perma suspended.

He asked what's new, not what was always here.

He questioned "what has changed since 2018?"

And i think the amount of the autojoiners changed a lot.

I can't tell about amount, but when I registered (in 2013) I've seen a lot of autojoiners discussions outside of the site. I never used one so I don't know if those were good, or if they were banned fast, but I'm absolutely sure people used them a lot.

I am not since such a long time around but as far as i know were autojoiners allowed at some point in the past. Don't question me when exactly.

Banned fast without controls for years ? I don't think so :-D

Number of giveaways has been dropping. Some characters like to bring this up as proof that community is dying, although in reality that is attributed mostly to the end of golden age of bundles (IGN taking over HB, Fanatical resorting to mystery bundles) and steam removing storing gifts option. There are still of course heavyweights who give away thousands of games regardless, but for the more generic gamer who liked to give away bundle leftovers its a dry season

Maybe not really a change per say to the website, but that has been a hot topic over the last years from what I can recall.

CG is trying out polls, unofficial gaming magazine is being created where you can take part in GAs and then review the games.
