'Split' it on keys and/or less valued skins and if he's really up to trade for real money then, do it small trades. Less risks (still have them though) and he could do it quickly, since it's easier to find more trustworthy key buyers than someone to trust with that ammount of money in a single trade...

That is lucky. First things first, make sure your friend (or your "friend") has all the steamguards and email notification turned ON, and that they use separate usernames and passwords for their email, and hopefully that no one knows their steam account log-in name. Also tell them to click on absolutely NO links in steam chat in the meantime, even if seemingly coming from a friend.
Next, do you know the general price of the item? You can use GlobalOffensiveTrade to pricecheck, but be warned this will probably alert scammers, so maybe use a new, unrelated reddit account. Also be aware that whatever the price of the item, they won't actually get anywhere near the full price of the item, especially since they want to turn it into real money.
Outside of the site you initially mentioned, there are two options really for real world money: 1) finding a very, VERY reputable seller/middleman, or 2) trading the item for keys and then selling the keys one by one yourself, which is time-consuming but a little safer as it distributes the risk. They are both risky though, so whichever they do tell them to do it slowly and with caution.

That is good luck getting it. So good luck selling it. I would keep it. But that is my opinion.

Shut your questions Bear. Dont make me rethink my motives.

don't trade it for paypal, 99.99% of those paypal traders looking to buy knifes are scammers and always say that have reputation but no proof, once i even saw a guy looking to buy knifes that said to have over 1000 paypal trades done, no steamgifts profile and even had a video with his paypal account with the payments he sent, really looks legit but turns out that the same guy also had 3 reports on steamrep (talking of a user with level 90 steam account and no impersonator, i checked for that)
if your friend wants real money i recommend opskins.com it's a new website but truthworthy and everyone can sell they csgo items for OP (operation points) and use them to cashout, 500 OP = 5$, 5000 OP = 50$, etc...
i think that the minimum cashout is 500 OP and the the site takes a fee for selling of 10% i think but if he wants real money this is the safest he can get
oh, and once i spent 30 keys on cases and the best i got was a 3€ famas ;-;

opskins.com, you can sell your items for points and u can exchange them for paypal money, most trustworthy site, I've already made ~400$ish on it and got my payments in 1 week.

I just look @ the ridiculous ammounts of money people spend for a Knife skin , and im like ....yeah ... okay... you may need some special treatment .
I look @ them , they are cool ... but they are like 5$ cool , not 100$ cool , not 500$ cool , and deffinitelly not 1k$ cool

I opened more than 50 cases in CS GO, never got anything worth more than 2$.

If he wants to sell a knife or item for real money he should try a csgo market place where he can sell it without having trust issues ( Still has to trust bots tho)

Talk about good luck.
One of my friends just opened a CSGO case and got a "★ M9 Bayonet | Marble Fade", and he wants to sell it for real life money, not Steam wallet.
Do you guys have any advice?
