Honestly, paying $12 for xcom2 alone is a good deal for me, give me copies of bad rats for all the other unlocks and I would still say its a good deal

You know, I'm leaning towards this... Maybe I should buy the bundle even if I don't necessarily want to keep XCOM2 for myself... Annnnd every other Monthly has been really good for me personally (ie. wishlisted games or games I haven't heard of and want to try) and January was utter crap... I'll be very sorry if I miss maybe Firewatch, Turmoil and Lethis.

You can easily resell XCOM2 for 70-100% of the bundle price. And it's usually at least 50% for the top game each months. When things are like this, it's hard to unsubscribe.

i don't think so, they always find cool games that aren't that expensive to buy but still cool game, last bundle we had neon chrome and jotun and mother russia bleed which were incredible game but not that expensive. The only time you shouldn't buy the monthly is when they announce a bad game like COD

Trading the keys is also against their rules, although everyone's doing it and they don't give a crap. As long as the money goes into their wallet, it's all good.
And who knows, I might just change XCOM 2 for some badass game, or sell it for Paypal. You never know. 😎

If you don't think they care then you are mistaken. If no other reason they will care simply because the developers/publishers that appear in their bundles will care, and it's not good for business if your clients are left with a bad taste in their mouths. We've read stories before about keys being revoked because they are being re-sold on sites like G2A. Anyway, I'm sure they take reselling a lot more seriously than trading.

Easiest way to explain something is to say "I know you won't understand it." that's just you not really knowing the difference, but still trying to sound so smart and ethical while doing same things yourself. From my point of view there is no difference whatsoever:
- You either trade a game that is valued A for one game that is valued B, or bunch of games that are valued C+C+C, and you always aim to win in this scenario.
- Same goes for selling. You sell the game for A amount and buy other games that are worth C+C+C. Or you spend that money elsewhere.
You still steal from the developer in any case.
And on the other point of view: Neither of those is stealing since you already bought it and you own them, so you can do whatever you please with them.

And the easiest way to explain it all away is to conveniently make that the reason why, even if it is not ultimately the truth. It's a case of Catch 22 and there is nothing to be done about that. For me to try and fight that is utterly futile, no matter how much you might protest. If I could explain it any other way I would, but I don't see one.

Looks like you were right. Gifting the Humble Monthly essentially amounts to a voucher that yields the current month for free at the time of redemption (not whatever the content may have been at the time of purchase). Good to know!

First time I got a monthly bundle. I refuse to blind buy out of principle but €10.50 for X-COM 2 is in itself a price I'm more than willing to pay. The extra games will be a nice bonus or GAs.

I wonder... Humble Bundle promises "$100 in games" and XCOM 2 is worth $60 alone . They don't need to pack much to reach that value. So I don't expect anything fancy this month (but a positive surprise would be welcome).

yeah, many already have it. my friends list is my own, little statistics, and 346 out of 875 own it. despite the obvious problems with the game (horrible combat system), people seem to enjoy it anyway. i bought it on release and stopped playing after 2 hours or so. couldn't continue. the combat was so boring and repetitive. i actually finished it last december. and i must say, i had a decent amount of fun after all. the combat was still bad, but the story-telling was nice. i would say, it's a mediocre hack 'n' slash with good graphics and cutscenes on the plus side. would probably rate it 5/10, but one of the more enjoyable 5's. ;)
maybe it has to do with the fact, that we don't have too many of these kinds of games. so we even accept the mediocre ones. ^^

Could be. Rambo: Baker Team had almost positive reviews, just because almost no rail shooters are released on PC. (As in, actual classic rail shooters, not those modern console kiddie FPS games which are just glorified rail shooters. :))
Another reason for Nintendo to finally start porting to PC. Once Bayonetta 1-2 would be released, PC gamers could stop looking for a hack & slash for… well, pretty much permanently.

yep, seeing all those positive reviews for Rambo surprises me every time. ^^ i believe it actually started with mostly negative ones.
we will get Hellblade this year. i have high hopes for it. Enslaved and DmC were both amazing in my opinion. so this should be really good.
