That feel when you have a tradition of giving away the Portal games when they're on sale, and they're both 90% off, and Portal 2 is now just as cheap as Portal 1... I have a consolation prize for people who already own them, and that's now more expensive than both of the games combined.

But hey, the show, as they say, must go on. This is the 21st installment of the perpetual gifting initiative, because back when Valve made games, they made good ones, so if you haven't played them, you should. Even if I get no CV anymore for actually giving them away. Well, no measurable amount of CV, at least...

And for those fans of puzzle games who are sick to death of hearing me talk about Portal, you all know I've got something else lined up too. This time it's something about insects.

I appreciate this tradition, actually :D
I bought them on the last sale (or the previous one), now I have to find the time to play them!

"back when valve made games"

I guess Artifact,Dota Underlords,In The Valley of Gods and 3 upcoming VR games don't count lol.

Most of that indeed does not count in my book. In the Valley of Gods does, though, even if it's just Valve buying the developer; I didn't know about that one.

That's the one from the guy that did Firewatch, right? If so, I'm interested in that one.

Thanks! Sadly I have never played either portal but for $1 each I might have to just suck it up and buy it for myself :)

Yo, A year or so ago, I looked literally everywhere to find puzzle games that do the mind-bending exploraation of mechanics thing, and I found 7 games total. They are Portal, Braid, The Zachtronics Games, The Witness, Stephen's Sausage Roll, Recursed, and Baba is You. So I'd recommend those if you're looking for puzzle games.
