Something up with the points here? Like I see a Bioshock Infinite giveaway that requires 80P. And a Tomb Raider giveaway for 70P. When I click the steam pages for these games, the prices are lower than that, but they do include packs at that price. But the giveaways aren't for the packs, but for the games alone.

Not that points are money or something that I should be shrieking and complaining, but I'm curious as to why its happening. And if it'll be fixed.

Maybe some Steam database error...who cares, points are free.

it sometimes happens, because SG queries the Steam DB for the current prices at fixed/random (?) intervalls.

sometimes the Steam DB returns the value of a pack instead of the value of individual games.

in that case the required points increase, too.

this lasts until the next query returns the correct value (can last from a few hours to a few days).

Hope that answers your question =)

somewhat related: as far as I know, if you enter a TR giveaway for 70P and it should drop again and you then decide to leave the giveaway, you only get the current points back, not the points that you entered with - but don't quote me on that ;)

Bioshock Infinite for 80p is someone listing the Bioshock Triple Pack under the Infinite label.

I don't know about Tomb Raider.

This happens occasionally with a few games. Instead of receiving their own price from the store, some games get updated with the price of the pack that might include them. Price is adjusted automatically again some time later, when the store shows the correct price in the Search.
