How often do you get a case/cover for your phone/mobile?
That has as much sense to me as "I don't have a car insurance, I never let my car crash" O_o

... but you can insure mobile phones! ... so perhaps it's more like ... "I don't glue extra bumpers to my car, because it's already insured and, well, I like it to fit into parking lots" :)
(No I don't have insurance for my mobile. That's silly. And I still don't like cases.)

yeah ... no. Those things won't get anywhere near my car. But I can see why you would want them in regions were people practice bang-bang parking (is that really what "parking by ear" is called in english?)

I haven't bothered to case my phones in years actually. Then again I also don't use smartphones. ;)
As for what people I know do, once people finish with school they tend to get a single case and stick with it until something breaks. (be it the phone or the case)

Honestly I just get a case for 2 reasons:
- Avoid damage in case of clumsyness (of me or people around me)
- In case I don't think the phone's backside is something I wanna look at for very long :p
So I never change the case unless the phone or case break.
There's better stuff to spend money on.

If you want to get a phone case but an ordinary one, try to do some DIY (if possible) ;)

With my phones, I keep my case for the entire lifespan unless it breaks or rips (which hasn't happened to me). I recommend hybrid series cases like the Case-Mate Tough. It kept my previous phone, the Xperia Z, saved the phone from some falls and gave it a better grip while not adding too much bulk. If a design is what you want you can get it customized, but that is expensive. What phone do you have now? Maybe I can help you find something good

So far I only have one, and I don't plan do get another. I only bought for protection, with no pictures or decoration. I like it to keep neutral.
This is also my first smartoy, so I can't really recommend anything about it :P

I don't change covers. Latest phone doesn't have one, previous two did (protective back cover), but I've recently been changing phone more often than once a year anyway.
My wife changes the covers, the reason being that the ones with the pictures usually fade after a while.

The Original Not the smartest one, but I can text with it, call someone, set a reminder, write notes and check time/date. Though google+gmail would be nice. But at least I can cause concussion with it if the need arises :D

I'm having a hard time deciding what kind of case/cover and style to get for my phone. I'm wondering what other people do. This is the first time I've had a smartphone. For my previous phones I never bought a decorative cover for them because I didn't use them often. I dont' want just a blah black or even a solid color. I want a design of some kind but I can't choose. I wondering, do people change their phone covers often? Like you have one for awhile then get tired of it or see a different one you like better and get that? I kind of just want to get one and have that for the life of my phone but want to make the right choice.
UPDATE: Wow, I'm surprised. With all the different cases and covers on the market I assumed more people were changing theirs often. Or maybe it's kids that do that. It just seems like there are a ton of designs out there, lots of decorative ones, and bling and stuff.
