Is it still true that if we buy a Ubisoft game on EGS we'll also receive a copy in Ubisoft's infrastructure? Maybe I've just misinterpreted things but at least with some Ubisoft games this used to be true and I expected it to be a general rule.

I just bought Anno 2205 Gold but it doesn't seem to "transfer" over to the Ubisoft ecosystem

There's sadly no obvious way to ask these kinds of questions in Epic's ecosystem.

Edit: The game turned up in Ubisoft Connect after updating and starting the Epic launcher.

Until now, this was the case, when I bought Ubisoft game had to connect egs with uplay and it showed up in the uplay client as well

I can't remember myself. Would there be some kind of delay associated with this process, or is it more or less instant in the cases where it applies?

Somewhere around $5 for this Anno game in Ubisoft's ecosystems seems reasonable to me but I'm not really interested if it's only on EGS.

You should connect your ubi account to your egs account. After activation you can play your ubi games without egs account.

I've bought some Ubi games on previous sales so they used to be connected at least. Although I cant actually find Ubisoft connect in EGS settings at this point.

I bought the Far Cry 5+New Dawn this sale and also noticed it didn't auto add to uplay unlike before so I downloaded epic launcher, started the download and then found it transferred over to uplay somewhere during that process. Haven't tried to test if it runs without epic, so I'm gonna test it now.

I think I bought those two in a previous sale but I can't remember I had to jump through any hoops to make them appear in Ubisoft Connect. I'll give downloading through EGS a shot. Thank you for the tip.

Edit: Not entirely sure what made it work, but after starting the Epic launcher and just navigating to Anno without actually installing, it turned up in Ubisoft Connect. Maybe the syncing only takes place through the client and not in the web interface.

Went and got 2205 as well to complete my Anno collection, might as well sync these all at once :)

Glad it worked out for you!
