I stumbled onto a Kickstarter campaign for a game that seems to be a good mix between RTS, TBS, and classic God games. They describe it as a "next generation Planet Management God - Game".

They have a decent pricing model - $15 will get you a DRM free copy of the game and Steam beta access, but there's the usual extravagant $10k tiers as well.

I'm not affiliated with the devs in any way, I just think this looks promising.

Be warned i saw this game 2 years ago, same artwork, same everything, it vanished 8-9 month ago and has now re-appeared exactly the same.

Maybe just different phases but im not sure.

Sure you're not thinking about Planetary Annihilation or Planets3? Perhaps you're right, but I hadn't seen it before now.

Nope its the same game, I have it marked down as i wanted to buy it but it never went anywere.

But it does seem like they are re-igniting it, maybe development had a small hiatus.

I'm glad I'm not the only one slightly suspicious of this game, even though it looks amazing and I want to fund it. To be fair though, I can be very cynical sometimes. However, it hasn't changed much since the concept page and they don't have anything to show (gameplay?) that they've been working on it. Shouldn't it still be a concept then and not an actual game on Greenlight. Furthermore, they initially did not describe their team and even when asked, their comment is very general. I'd also like to confirm that they promise Steam keys to backers if they get Greenlit.

They didn't confirm it. That thread is just conjecture by two average users about whether they might or might not provide steam keys.

Right. I know they didn't confirm it. I created that threading asking them to confirm or deny that they'll hand out Steam keys. No response yet...

Well, they do have a "Games Crew" section in the KS page listing 15 devs and 20 contributors. Anyway, looks like it's progressing decently, with $85k pledged and 25 days to go.

We'll see how it goes.

Ah, missed the crew section before. Still, a short bio on each would be nice.

For around 1 year, there was a greenlight "concept" page, they changed the project page for a "game" page with the launch of the KS campaign, this may be where you saw this game a long time ago ?

Edit: My bad, not around 1 year, but 7-8 months concept page, thanks google for saving the whole internet in your servers

This is one of the games that you honestly vote on greenlight.

Graphics looks amazingly like Planetary Annihilation...

I guess there's only so many ways to design a faux planet for a game with multiple heavenly bodies. :)

Anyway, I've already got Planetary Annihilation wishlisted, so something that looks similar but plays differently is good in my book.

Man, the other Kickstarter game that they are cross promoting looks pretty good too:

Hey, you're right. I'd missed that. Seems it's already been greenlit, let's hope it makes it on KS too.
