would you say it is, looked down upon to have considerably less public than group/private contributions?

Depends of the entries on those group/private giveaways.

Does it help figuring out who is a bad person?
How does one distinguish someone who found an easier path to farm/raise chances, and users who dont feel like giving games to random people but rather someone who can offer any kind of interactivity.

Does it need to be distinguished? If someone has done pretty much only group and private giveaways to a small number of people, I'd view them apart from the community regardless of their reasons.

You dont necessarly need to create giveaways to contribute or be part of the community.
There have been well known users in this community who have contributed little to none. Besides not everyone enters public giveaways

I guess it shows my mentality when one day I was thinking that it would be nice to have an entry filter for giveaways. Not a filter that limits the amount of entries, but a filter that only lets those in whose entries from all of their giveaways added together would be greater than the set filter.

Define "considerably less" ? Also, how would one factor level restrictions into this ?

That would differ from person to person, maybe 70%+
Though to me, it would be a ratio between how much you took from public and how much you gave

Well, if one makes LVL8+ restricted giveaways, one is giving to a small group of close "friend" chances are most of this people are people you see around the forum. Not only do you have an idea who they are you also expect some kind of response not only from the winner but the participants.
One won't get that pleasure making public low level giveaways

only when people leech public and make mostly group GAs. same applies to levels.

Depends on why they are private for me. Puzzle makers do private giveaways, but that doesn't mean they are restricted, you just need to be able to figure out the GA code.

It depends, I only have like 3 games, 5 copies total given away publicly. But on the flip side, I've only won like 5 public giveaways. I very rarely use the public side of the site, most of my points go to invite only, via forum, or puzzles. So conversely thats where I win most, so thats where I give back the most.

All I have to say is don't let what you're worried others might think judge how you use this site.

Im just curious. i thought users might think you need to contribute in games to be a part of the community
Personally, people shouldnt be obligated to give anything away.
I don't feel i should be worried. I do contribute a lot to groups but i dont try to take more from public than i can give

Personally, I aim to keep public and invite/group giveaways somewhat balanced.
However, I'd prefer that my games would be won by people that will actually play them, rather than game collectors or card farmers, so for the highest quality titles, I'll enforce some kind of protection.
Ultimately, everyone is entitled to have their own opinion on who should be able to win their giveaways, wouldn't you agree?

Thats pretty much what i try to go for, though i don't impose that rule on others.

Certainly. Though hoarding is an all different matter.
Because...again, not everything is black n white, someone might have a bad looking Group to Public ratio but actually have given more than they won.
Then there are people who dont create giveaways but haven't won that many games, which almost ensures whatever they won would probably be played.
You also have region restricted giveaways, in which the community seems to be torn

while I wouldn't look down upon it, people are free to giveaway their own games in any manner they see fit, I suspect overall it would be looked down upon, especially by those too shy or less socially inclined to join many groups
