Better than Windows Store at least. Good thing the only thing they did was create infinite walking simulators and ruin other games by making them such.

I don't use the Bethesda launcher currently, mainly cos I've had issues with it in the past(much like EGS), but I can't see M$ using two clients/stores forever. In saying that, they have added a reasonable amount to Steam store lately, so who knows...

My guess is that they will merge them with MS store or at the very least make them a luncher only, not a store one.
I mean, it's cost affection to lower the maintenance expense off Bethesda launcher servers usage.
Having a third option to sell your game (Ms store + Steam) is good for the customers but not for the devs in terms of maintaining, communication, deploying, etc...

As for epic games, I'm not seeing the reason for MS to acquire them at all since they're no longer "game developers" anymore and more like a "fortinite maintenance group" but, who knows...

I don't think buying a $17+ billion company for a game engine alone is a good investment at all.

Fuck Bethesda. Their games are garbage, really. Hopefully, the acquisiton of them through Microsoft will do good.

Fallout/Elder Scrolls is using a 20 year old engine and Todd Howard had the audacity to lie about their games all the time. So yes, there is very much a big need for bad words.

I think Todd Howard could make a nun swear. He is one of the biggest douchebags in game development currently. I do however play Bethesda games, while complaining the whole time that "They don't make them like they used to".

It might not even exist in a little while. All their current games will probably move to the Windows Store and/or the Xbox GamePass. No sense in Microsoft leaving a redundancy, especially one as niche as the beth launcher.

Bethesda was at one point in time my favorite developer, and then their games kept getting progressively worse, as a publisher they constantly misfired and picked games from other devs that held promise and never delivered, and looking back now the best entry from what became my favorite series of theirs wasn't even made by them it was developed by Obsidian!
Fallout '76 kinda was the last straw when it not only crapped on my one-time favorite RPG series but the state of WV where I was born and spent several years of my life. Considering how many horrible decisions the company has made in the last 10 years it is a miracle they were able to avoid bankruptcy. How much money was lost publishing pretty but also pretty empty garbage like Brink, Rage, (not learning the first time) Rage 2... heck they are responsible for Rogue Warrior being released, arguably one of the worst video games of all time.
When I do decide to play games on a console I always go with Sony, PSN is where I have a decent digital library, and so Sony consoles are what I'm gonna stick with when I go that route, and yeah the idea of not being able to play an Elder Scrolls release some day or having to wait a year for it to be released on whatever number Playstation or on Steam really kinda sucks. But it doesn't suck nearly as bad as it would if I still had faith in Bethesda as a company.
Now if CD Projekt sells out to Microsoft, THEN I'll be pissed.
