I'm well aware of how it works, I didn't use it for a reason. It's a gfy, not a GIF, so I doubt this site supports embedding it (you need to specifically code support into the site). This method at least lets people with extensions like Imagus that can convert image links into hovers view it in-line.

I hate, absolutely hate, forcing GIF when the WebM/MP4 version is just better. Also quite often the auto-conversion from WebM to GIF ruins the timing or introduces horrible artifacting.
