FTP cards worth getting?

I know that you have to pay $9 in the free to play games on Steam to get cards. Is it worth it to buy stuff just to be eligible for the booster drops? Anyone do that? And if so which games are more popular and would have more badges created so that booster packs are dropped?

no. Not just for the small chance to drop a 30 cent booster pack. also cards are a money grave in general

the only two that i see worthy are tf2 and dota2(this one more if you play it)...for tf2 if you buy keys from man co store it will cap and with the keys you can buy other games,and for dota 2 you can reach that with the compendium 7.something euros(don't know how much is in america) and it gives a lot of items and boost,you can also buy dota 2 keys but aren't as used as tf2 keys

Not worth it if you're buying keys since you can buy keys for much cheaper by using resellers
