So, you probably saw Cruchyroll's free Loot Crate offer. I signed up (twice, because for hotmail, the code didn't want to arrive), and after 3 days, I finally have my free LootCrate code. I was about to order this month's package, but then I saw that they don't ship to Hungary. I was like: " I went through all that struggle for this?". But then I remembered something. There is a service called Borderlinx, which receivesyour order, and ships it to you, even if your country is not supported. So I'd ask how does it work, and what are your experiences with the site? I read their "tutorial", but I still don't know how to do those things, also how many would be the shipping?

First of all, these forwarding services can be quite expensive so you should google for recommondations (for example here) and other services to compare prices.

What to look for:

  • Obviously the price, there is usually a price calculator on the site (Borderlinx). This are just estimated prices considering you don't know weight and volume of the package. Also check if taxes and custom duties are included in the calculation.
  • Check for possible promotions and the offered Adresses. It might be cheaper to forward it from Germany (for example) than from the US.
  • Most services offer some kind of tracking tool on their site. Nice to have.

How does it work:

  1. You first get a native shipping address from the package forwarder.
  2. You place an online order and ask the seller to ship the purchase to the package forwarder's warehouse (the address you got).
  3. The package forwarder handles the packages, such as repacking, consolidation or storage.
  4. You pay the package forwarder for package handling and international shipping fee.
  5. The package forwarder ships out and you receive the package.

I don't have any experience with US and UK forwarding services (just Japanese) but I hope this helps a bit. At least have a free bump :).
