Saints row 2 was pretty good. So this one will most probably be even better.

Also, This is relevant.

I definitely like the MW3/BF3 parody. Not quite as funny as their GTA4 parody during SR2 though.

Except its not a port and will play fine if you have a semi decent computer.

Not a port -

Of course, what they probably fail to realise is that mostly when people complain about a game being a console port, that's not what they actually mean. They're upset about the way the game has been designed simultaneously for multiple platforms, and the way the controls, HUD and graphics often reflect this. If I had a dollar for every time I heard rabid fans screaming "CONSOLE PORT" while the confused devs were saying "But, we developed the game on PC for PC"...

Seeing the list of platforms and release dates, I can't help thinking that, while this game is not a true console port, people will still be upset about the problems caused by designing for multiple platforms at once.

I think what they meant is that unlike Saints Row 2, SR3 is not a direct port. The port of SR2 was extremely buggy compared to the console version.

It's damned near unplayable at times.

The same thing happened with The Witcher 2, which even now hasn't yet come out on consoles. Honestly, I'm a proud, card-carrying member of the PC Master Race, but there is a difference between wanting equal treatment and wanting companies to cater to you and your arbitrary preferences exclusively.

I preordered this game on July 16th. That reminds me, I need to play some more SR2 before next month...

That is odd. I have a HD5770 and AMD Phenom X6 and have had no issues at all with frame drops or anything of the sort, the frames when I played it stayed high. Must be something else on your end.

I own SR and SR2 on XBOX. Amazing game, SR3 looks promising as well. I think I'll probably buy SR3 on xbox as well, maybe some later time buy it on PC.
For me, this would be GOTY, if Portal 2 wasn't released this year.

I dunno about that. The game definitely looks fun, but there have been/will be a LOT of big titles this year. But I guess each person has their own opinion about the GoTY (as long as it's not DNF).

I'll buy SR3 when they fix SR2's speedup problems themselves (without the need for an external tool).

Just watch, they're not going to do anything about the incompatibilities with Windows 8 when it comes out.

I am also very excited for SR3. I wasn't actually aware that SR2 had a bad PC port, because when I played it on Steam it worked just fine for me, but I'm glad that that will not be an issue for SR3
