I've always personally liked the characters in Jak and Daxter. (Jak being my all time Hero) But I always loved Ratchet and Clank's Gameplay. What do you guys think?

I feel that Jak and Ratchet series are more polished than Crash, although I still do have a special place in my heart for Crash Bandicoot.

Always Ratchet & Clank for me, followed by Sly Raccoon, then Jak and Daxter.

All of them have had good games, but the reason Jak and Daxter takes last place is because they had a great game with the platforming in the first game and then messed it up in the second. The third did go some way into trying to redeem it, but still wasn't as good as the original. I more enjoyed the two titles made for the PSP by those other guys that aren't Naughty Dog.

The other two started good and only got better (excluding Secret Agent Clank, a game I don't really count as it wasn't even developed by Insomniac)

Yes, I agree. I play Jak 2 first, then going to the first game was completely different. It was more of a Super Mario 64 kind of setup. I've never played Sly Cooper (Other than Thieves in Time) but I do prefer Ratchet over Jak and Daxter.

It's very hard to choose!! Played all on PS2, PSP, PS3 (now we even have the HD remakes on vita) and i would say Jak and Daxter have the best games but Ratchet & Clank is the best in overall.
The second game of Jak and Daxter for me is one of the best games of all time, the 3 is awesome but is like Vice City to San Andreas. San Andreas have everything you can imagine but Vice City is just perfect when we played it. It's hard to understand this point of view if people didn't play all these games when they were launched but if you did i think is easy :)
So why Ratchet is the best overall? Because is SO MUCH FUN, you can finish those game 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 times and keep going since getting everything takes a lot of time and because the gameplay/visuals (did you saw the trailer of the PS4 one??) are outstanding is just AWESOME.

I love both so is hard to choose but maybe because Ratchet didn't stop on PS2 and we saw those good games on PS3 (Crack in Time and Tools of Destruction) i would choose Ratchet. Still it's not a battle between 2, we need to had Sly and Cooper since those 3 lead the platform/adventure gaming in the last years.

I liked them both, but allways preferred Jak and Daxter, but I am not owning a console anymore, so it doesn´t matter.

Tbh I only played the PSP games (Secret Agent Clank, R&C Size Matter, Daxter, Jak Lost Frontier) + Jak 1, I also played Ratched and Clank with a friend, so I can't really say anything, but I absolutely loved Daxter ^^

And I want all of those games on Steam :P

I loved them both, but they're different enough to be distinct.

R&C has a lot of charm, and great guns. The story is generally lighthearted and the games are a lot of fun.
J&D is a lot more inconsistent. The first one was basically a straightup platformer, while 2 & 3 were more directly combat-oriented. J&D had great stories, but darker, but since J&D takes place in one general location, it also has a lot of location consistency, so it actually feels immersive in a setting, rather than a bunch of different (but interesting) planets.

As was pointed out, I'd have to give R&C the edge simply because they continued the stories in two more high-quality games on PS3. Both are well-written and a lot of fun, but its really just 3rd-person shooter versus 3rd-person Adventure game.
