I love these bundles, but only for the thrill of reading threads like this one. Discovering what people got and feeling sorry or happy for them is a pleasure in itself.
Personally I'd never spend so much money not knowing what I'd get. I could buy myself a nice brandnew wishlisted indie game for that amount!

So this is, what, the third or fourth mystery bundle in the last few months? And the price goes up every time. I think they're trying to figure out how much they can get away with charging people before they stop buying it.

Over 5 euros for one key? If it was for three keys... I wouldn't buy it either ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Mystery = i don't buy it.
Learned my lesson long long long ago for such stuff.

Too high prices and the shop always win with MYSTERY Games/Bundles.

Don't buy it or we have that "business model" for decades.

I feel these mystery bundles are exploiting human nature of curiosity. Also, making the sale feel like a game might give the impression that the players will also get nice loot, since, in PC games, players solve a mystery and get nice loot / reward (usually). Personally, I think it would be much better if we could visualize the probability distribution (e.g. whether AER got 8/30 hits -- 10 people bought 3 keys, and 8 got AER as one of their keys -- and HITMAN 2 only got 1/30 hits) in real-time. That would also prevent Fanatical from quietly changing the probabilities halfway through the sale based on keys running out.

I have been burned by every single one of Fanatical's mystery crap boxes so far.
I am not falling for this one. They are using these to get rid of cheap crap people won't buy normally, and tossing in a few keys that people do want, just to tempt people who really want one of the "good ones" - They will come out on top, every time. Not you.
It's nearly always crap from them.

Well, looking at the replies I am seeing on here, it definitely isn't worth it (what gamble is?). These games can be had for a lot cheaper throughout the year.

I was eager to see what the new bundle was when I saw the thread title followed by disappointment...
i really hope it's not becoming the new norm for them.

After the large amount of crap distributed through Festival Mystery bundles, it's advisable to stay away from these.

well.... no, I won't spend 5€ to get in return mad max.. batman origins or even hover.. seriously this isn't something acceptable, many games of course are great but there are so many repeats and most of all games NOT worth 5€!!

Seems like most of the same games from the last "mystery bundle" for 2x the price...so nah.

I normally give these things one go but was in two minds with the high prices. Took a chance and bought a 3 pack because I saw Shadow of War there and got the following (spelling from their site):

Middleearth Shadow of War
Gauntlet Slayer Edition
Sid Meiers Civilization Beyond Earth

I have a theory that these things start out with quite a few good ones and then taper off after the word gets out so I tried to get in early. Don't buy these things if you aren't prepared to throw the money away. Don't expect anything and you might be surprised but at the very least, you won't be disapointed.

Borderlands 2 - already had, hate it
Civ 5 - already had, loved it
Pillars of the earth - had on origin, never tried it

From the list of games it looks like it's worth 5 bucks
BUT I already have many of the games that I desire on that list for $5 in order to give a key a key on SG is rather pricy.
