There's no Homefront 2 :D
But the first Homefront was epic, if you knew the cloud-gaming service called OnLive, i used to play a lot of online multriplayer there with the 30 minute trials, eventually later i decided to buy the game from retail wich was a SteamWorks title and my laptop was a joke back then (Like 64 MB video card, Intel Pentium 4 :D) and it ran horrible.

I'm installing it right now. Makes more sense to play it for free than to buy it and just play 2 hours

This game annoys me, cause it could have very well became a hardcore tactical stealth shooter.

All the performance issues aside seriously, I have a GTX970, i7 4.4ghz and 16GB of RAM and it runs like ass? there are a few things that let it down a lot which is a shame cause it could be so good. The whole first portion of the game is boring and a chore to play through and I can see why people would be put off just there and then. You feel like you are being rushed through areas and the AI also can be a bit dumb and predicable. The weapons also feel like toys rather than guns, so the gunplay is terrible;. and as I am already suspending my disbelief that the North Koreans invaded the USA and are a superpower, seeing a pistol turn into an SMG, or battle rifle into a rocket launcher, or my personal favourite a crossbow into a flamethrower is really jumping beyond the shark and moonwalking across the back of a blue whale.

It does has it's good points though. You do feel like you are outclassed and scavenging for equipment. Co-op looks interesting and you need real teamwork to play it. The second part of the game when you enter a residential area you really have to think and the game suddenly becomes almost like a first person splinter cell. You need to think before you do anything, which puts you in situations where you can't help civilians cause if you intervene you will be killed. The game rewards you being crafty.. It saddens me cause there was a really good game here that needed expanded on and not rushed at this phase. Take it slow and methodical, punish you severely for mistakes and make the AI respond more to suspicious behaviour.
