When to sell steam cards?

Since summer sale is around the corner i was thinking about selling the cards i have, but i know that steam market is a pretty wild place (like any active market really) and i dont usually care about it but since i have a quite good amount of cards and i think i might be able to buy 3 or 4 games that i want by selling my cards (plus the money i already have) i was wondering when will be the better moment to sell this cards and make a bigger proffit? before the sale ? When the sale stars? Middle sale? after sale?
If possible explain a little bit please :D

Demand will increase once crafting of sale cards is enabled, which is 9 days before sale. That's probably one of better times.

There would be a slight increase of demand during holiday card crafting period before sale. And absolutely no reason for supply to be raised.
But since steam market is a really tiny place, a dozen of people can do a trick, right? So write it down in your notebooks, prepare your cards and delete this thread as soon as possible so no one else will discover our little investment secret.

This made me think, might it be worth buying some sacks of gems, looking to re-sell during the sale? That would of course be based on the assumption that there are auctions again that will be using the gems. They hit £0.81 in the winter sale and are currently £0.47.

most of people maybe will stop buy cards a week before sales date because worrying if new restriction 7 days from steam that maybe applied to event cards too.
so of you want sell your cards then now its right time.

that would be pretty stupid on valves part to apply a 7-day restriction to event cards... it would mean sales would be nil for the first week of the event, when their popularity is at their highest.. plus if cards disappear at the end of the event, thats the last weeks worth of event cards that valve wont be able to profit from the market sales of. not saying they WONT do it, just saying it'd be really silly... i can see restrictions placed on wallpapers and emoticons from crafting as per usual though.
