Are people actually having a problem with giveaways "only" costing 50 points, especially when we have a 480 points cap per day? Or are most people who voted just too lazy to read/understand and on a quick look mistook the "rollback to previous value" as "rollback to previous value - get points as you did before the change and also have the max cost be 100 points" (same for "no changes" the other way around)?
From my experience in other forums I can absolutely say that most people do not actually take the time to read what things are all about and therefore I honestly doubt that most of the people understood what this poll is actually about.

I voted 50 because most expensive games get placed a ton on this after it is on a bundle like the game makers and such.

Cap of 500? Well that might actually result in some issues with certain types of giveaways not getting any entries... So a cap of 100-200 should be good enough. (Of course keeping the lower point generation rate)

I don't believe CG would go past 100p anyway, so the talk of no cap was more or less just people expressing their opinions, and it's why Mully left that option off the poll.

Eh. Changes have been made. I don't agree with all of it. But since we're here, let's live with them for a while and see how it turns out before we all start philosophizing about the perfect system. Better to have some data to look at an address issues that become apparent.

I picked the previous value. However, I would like to make a little change. maybe cap all the bundled games at 50, even though it's rare for a bundled game to be worth $50+ , since if it's bundled we will get an influx of those(like the rpg maker software), and the unbundled games would have a different cap, if at all. That way, people would have to choose if they want a higher chance to win a cap points bundled game ( since there is an influx of those, the userbase would split between the giveaways) or have a lower chance to win an unbundled cap points game.
IMO, an unbundled game that costs $50+ should have an "impact", so at the very least your points should be impacted more than usual.

Most of those 50p+ bundled games are counted as unbundled for the first days of the bundle/price glitch. Unless they can make the bundle listing more effective and faster, this rule won't help much.
Actually, this can cause a spam of reports from angry users spending all their points on first time bundled giveaways.

7 steps to success.

  1. 500p minimum fee for all games.
  2. banish all bundled games, who plays them anyway.
  3. if cards exist, will be farmed and returned to the owner, or better, to the developer.
  4. humble bundle monthly games should give 10x real CV than their real value, oh wait, this is happening already :p
  5. Discussion groups will only have polls like ( ) yes ( ) YES ( ) Are you kidding me, YES!! for banishing more games and plebs.
  6. eventually plebs will stop visiting the site, giveaways would be arranged by email among 30 people.
  7. cg will shut it down and become a farmer, growing potatoes and melons.
