F1 2021 was removed from steam unexpectedly
wrong bro, they delist every game after 1-2 years, and since f2011 u had 10+ years to find this out, that they delist every game pretty sonn

they could have also bundled it before removing it. more people would buy it. it has always been expensive. greedy devs

Ever since EA took over Codies i don't think a single one of their games has been bundled. So... don't count on it for any future games either.

Why? They don't owe you anything and since the franchise is now owend by EA, they aren't strapped for cash. If you wanted the game, you would have bought it before it was delisted.

I would have loved to buy it but they removed it without giving any notice. it has never even received a good discount

75% off is a pretty good discount I'd say.

My bad.

So? The game had a discount when it was available and a big one, which was indeed a good discount if you were interested in the game.

Only if you are brainless can you think it's at a good discount.

But here we like to justify the crap done by publishers, evidently

if it was 75% off it was a good discount but yes a little warning would of been nice

It really depends on how wealthy of a country you live in since 15€ for a game is a lot for ironically around 75% of the world's population.

Comment has been collapsed.

I saw people who live in wealthy countries complain about a game being 5€. I saw a friend request a game from a developer that costs 3€ (that's about a pack of cigars here). I personally think we just take for granted how big the discounts in gaming are. I've yet to see a discount on a brand-new GPU, CPU or any piece of hardware be 75% less than a year after its release. So, if a PC game isn't like 90% off and 2$ at most for the complete ultra mega giga Chad edition, it's too much and not worth the price.

So, 75% is a good discount no matter how you look at it, because many other things we do need for our daily lives don't even make it to 50% off. But sure, let's complain about luxury products not being discounted more than 75% and how it's too pricey, despite us not even needing it for our daily lives to function. When we can complain about something as silly game prices (and PC parts prices), you know we're privileged.

Or we ask for insanely cheap prices for something that is a luxury and in no way a necessity and then complain when a game doesn't have a 100% discount because it's not worth more than 0$. Grow up.

"They don't owe you anything" - So EA's owed silence? By your own logic, no one owes anyone anything, so people can complain about a shitty business move if they want since they don't owe EA to be quiet about it.

Comment has been collapsed.

Wha? If you don't owe EA anything how do you owe them silence? You lost me, man.

Anyway, people can complain all they want. We'll never agree what a good price for a game is since we all value things differently. But if the bundle was 15$ for the F1 game in T3, I bet you this same person would have complained, just becuase when it comes out to per game price, F1 wouldn't be like below 3$ or smt. In short, anything above 90% discount and 1$ (maybe 2$) is too much.

You must be new to Steam. It was never every 1-2 years
They did not start delisting F1 gams until recently when EA took over

FIFA 21 too was delisted a few ago but it's still available in EA Play. This mean they don't delist solely because of licences expired.

EA rarely bundles their games and sports games always delist them after a while. this is sad. Codemaster had bundled the previous games

This was expected. EA has been delisting a lot of games the past few months. They just delisted F1 2020 in March. F1 2022 will probably be delisted in the next 2 months although it might go another year. The life cycle for sports games seems to be dropping down to a year or two. It's not just EA, 2K is doing this with their titles as well.

Its a tactic by EA because no one bought the newer titles as the older ones are clearly better.
I have till 2019 and that's more than enough for me. They would probably remove older games from your account if they could.

While this isn't a FIFA thread, we are talking about EA games and delisting etc.

For those who play FIFA if you own FIFA 18, 19, 20 and 21 these titles will lose online features November 6th.

There's only 2 FIFA games currently being sold on Steam, FIFA 22 and FIFA 23, these titles are safe for now.

I wonder if they'll delist FIFA 23 and 22 right away when EA FC is out. Kinda stop giving the spotlight to the potential game from FIFA. Should probs go and take a few last screenshots of my FUT team in FIFA 21 for memories.

With EA not having the FIFA license anymore I'm really curious myself. I think the worst case scenario would be that each will have online features for only a year, but I think it will most likely be that each will have 2 years.

A shame you can't enter FUT and at least look at your squad when they shut down the online function.

Also, I don't think new games (well, new name) will move away go the 1 and done for online functionality model. Would be quite brutal, but may raise their profits and lower their server cost for a game a handful of people will still play.
