[Free] Bierzerkers (Steam)

It's labeled as Bierzerkers Free in-Steam, as well. so it's definitely an intentionally free version of the game.
Given the timestamp of the Steamdb change, it seems likely to be an upcoming version of the game, perhaps even a default version of the game once it leaves Early Access, with the current version becoming a premium access.

So not really a deal, unfortunately, I think. :)

You're right, looks like the game's going F2P once it leaves Early Access. From their website:

One of the most impactful changes, in a very practical way, is how we are selling the game. With the 1.0 release anyone can play Bierzerkers with the Raider for free. Although people are really enjoying the game, one of the challenges we’ve had through Early Access has been building the base. Many of our Early Access players have been suggesting going with a free to play model to help address this and we’ve been listening. The way it works is that everyone can play as the Raider for free and can purchase any of the other characters individually or as a pack. There are no limitations put on the free Raider class so players can level up and gather gear just like the paid classes.

It's a common model now, so it came to mind readily :D

That's actually pretty cool, I've had it wishlisted- so the free license being in my library now certainly isn't a bad thing.
