Ok so the giveaway I did is over and now I have no idea how to send the gift, I thought this would be automatic, the thing is I have no idea how to get the key for the game, and it counts as one of my games on steam, I haven't downloaded it yet, so I'm wondering if I can still give a game I own? Or do I have to buy the game again to send it to the winner?

If the game is in your library it's yours and can't be given away. You need to buy the game yourself. The site doesn't give the games, it's the members who make giveaways. I hope it's clearer now :)

You cannot give away games already activated on your steam account. You will have to buy separate copy if you want to give it away. Read FAQ.

You will have to rebuy it, once activated it's not tradable anymore

As said above, you'll have to buy another copy and select it as a gift during your purchase. From there, select the option to send your gift via e-mail and send it to the winner's mail address (which can be found here).

Oh, and welcome to SteamGifts! :3
You may want to read the FAQ if you haven't done it yet. There are many things to know about this site so take your time, read links/threads, meet people, enjoy things. (⌐͡■͜ʖ ͡■)

Additional tip: the game you chose for your giveaway is only available by buying the "Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath of Death VII Double Pack".

This pack is worth more on SteamGifts compared to either of the game it contains.
( pack = $3 | > | "breath of death VII" or "cthulhu saves the world" = $0.45 )

Point is, if you plan on giving away a pack, make sure you select it once you create your giveaway, as its value is (almost) always higher than a single game it contains. Make the most of your contribution! :3

On steam I've started buying games as gifts and holding them in my inventory until I'm ready to play them. I have a problem with buying many more games than I play, so this allows me to gift them later if I never get around to it. As others have said, once the games are in your library on steam you can't trade them regardless of whether you've played them or no. But keeping them in inventory gives you the flexibility. (you just have to remember they are there, which presents its own problems given my poor memory ;-)
