Looking for cheap headphones (less than 50$) and would like them to be wireless over the ear headphones.

You got money so why go cheap? And in the UK I can't help you as far as local stores go but you know what to do, Google it! I see them in the ads from Fry's Electronics all the time for under $50, don't remember the brand because I am not interested. So IDK but I hope this helps.

Plantronic's Headset (Gamecom 780) is very cheap on Amazon. It has 40mm Speakers, 7.1 Channel Sound, It also has Surround Sound Feature, and a good quality microphone! I'm telling you that headset is great especially for Steam!
It's slightly over $50 bucks though. http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-GameCom-780-Surround-Headset/dp/B006ZS5ATM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344393432&sr=8-1&keywords=plantronics+gamecom+780

A big and cheap one. I bought one of those for $13 and they have been great and working flawless for about three years. Don't expect the microphone to work as long, though. But it's probably because I drop it very often.

I'm not sure why you want wireless for under $50......the good ones at that price are hard to find. I just use a slightly older wired Plantronics headset that cost $20, but hey, personal preference is personal preference I guess.

What do you want it for?
If you want to listen to music with them, do yourself a favor and get some with with cord. I doubt you will find a wireless one without annoying buzzing under 50$.
If it's just for playing games and watching TV, I made good experience with those.

Find me a good pair of corded headphones then, willing to pay up to £100 now.

Only reason I want wireless is I have a bad habit of chewing things and have chewed through my headphone cable...

If you will be using the headphones on a PC and have a free USB port, I recommend the Sony Wireless Stereo Headset PS3.

Pros:

  • Plug and play, atleast on Windows 7
  • It has a mic which is compatible with every form of voice chat I've tried thus far. (Vent, TS, Skype, Mumble, Steam games)
  • Ear cups are wide enough to fit over most ears
  • Comfortable to wear for hours
  • Rugged enough to withstand light abuse
  • About 7 hours of use on a full charge
  • Syncs with USB dongle within a few seconds after powering on
  • Mic is mutable with a quick tap of the Power button

Cons:

  • You only have 2-channel stereo sound when used with a PC
  • The Virtual Surround On/Off button has no effect when used with a PC
  • The Sound/Voice slider has no effect when used with a PC
  • Requires to be plugged into a PC or PS3 with a USB 2.0 A Male to Mini USB B 5 Pin Cable to charge (cable not included)
  • Optional (undocumented) method of charging requires a Motorola cell phone charger with a Mini USB B 5 pin plug
  • Will not charge with most standard Mini USB B 5 ping chargers
  • On screen status displays only work on the PS3
  • PS3/PC/Mac USB Only, Not compatible with traditional devices that have 3.5mm jacks or RCA plugs

For the most part if you own a portable storage drive or a cell phone from the pass five years you probably have the cable needed to charge the headset.

The headset uses 2.4Ghz range for communication but has shown to work well even in a WiFi saturated environment. I've personally tested it to range outwards to 20 metres unobstructed. Your experience may differ if you live in an environment with steel plated or lead lined walls.

The Sony Wireless Stereo Headset PS3 is probably your best bang for the buck unless you tend to rage and toss whatever is closes to you across the room.

Just noticed this offer for the Audio Technica ATH-M50

Well worth it for that price. High fidelity crisp sounds. Excellent for music (listening and production) and superb for gaming, imo.

I'd go with Sennheisers for wireless.

Specifically, this model: Sennheiser RS 120

Amazon.com link

Yes... they maybe a bit more pricey, but you won't get the annoying buzz sound and you'll have clear audio; Along with being able to charge them by placing them on a stand, saving you money in rechargeable/regular batteries.

Edit: 15 dollars more then what you're looking for, but just think that you won't have to buy energizer rechargeable batteries for 20+ bucks for 4 + charger and you're golden.

I have them hooked up to my home theatre system for 3+ years, and they work well... in fact, VERY WELL; and, I believe, at even longer range then the manufacturer even boasts. The quality is top notch for wireless headphones, the highs and mids are vibrant, without being too harsh and the bass is LOW... almost to subwoofer standards, without giving you a headache. They're also VERY comfortable, you can sit in these all night and play Gears of War without having anyone know.

Well, if they're in your price range, grab em.

I, personally, like the whole charge cradle thing going on the 120's. I hate having to remember to recharge batteries, my phone irks me enough as it is. With the 120's, I just place em on the dock and I know they'll be ready again when I need them. As it stands 99 pounds is much higher then your margin, so I didn't take those into account.

That site makes you go in it buying a cheap knockoff item thats not usually half bad but you wind up spending twice the amount because of stuff like this and this, also this

In other words that site is a trap unless you have tons of self control.

lol
u can order 2-3 of the same item and when one is broken u put the other one to work.
I don´t know, I spent about $70 on a phone just to see it stop working from a broken cable inside the cable plug
when I tryed opening to fix it the broken part could not be opened :/
this was the fella, a monster headphone-m35
so now I just go with cheap headphones and headsets, they will broke sometime D: with me in special, very lucky with phones and mouses

and u cant have self control when it comes to this

Since you said you're willing to spend around 100 euros, the Audio Technica ATH-M50's or the AKG k240's should be good for you.
Both the best in their price bracket and have great sound quality.
