I would, if it was spaced correctly.
But it's not, so I assume it's just another e.g. of how great EA support is.

I had a similar interaction with their support (might have been the same exact person, since his name sounds familiar), I think there is such a thing as creepy polite, and this is a perfect example of it.

Yes, if you bother to wait their support can actually be very helpful. The only reason I don't really like origin is because of the fact it never closes properly for me and is always open according to task manager and the friends list never work half the time. Though if I asked support I could probably get that fixed. lol

Same :/ And some games being Origin exclusives... It's competition, like Nike or Adidas.

I'm neutral on Origin, I just don't want to get it because I don't want a separate platform for every freaking publisher. As for EA, they acquire studios and IP, then burn them to make money. And that's all they do. It's a business model that is really bad for the gaming industry in general. Look at what happened with Popcap. Plants vs. Zombies was a great game. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a mobile game chock full of push-notification ads, microtransactions, and not much innovation. EA basically burned the series to the ground to squeeze out a few bucks, when it could have been managed properly and produced more long-term cash while keeping the fans happy. It's sad, and I try to avoid supporting EA while they do business this way. Yes, other companies do it as well, but EA does it on purpose and consistently. If other companies do the same thing, I avoid them as well.

As a counter-point look at Valve (because that's who they're going to be compared to anyway). Valve makes their own content, but also allows others to host content on their platform. Valve releases tools to assist content creation and basically crowdsources the content on Steam. All of the Valve-created content is original, devoid of money-grubbing practices like shitty DLC or microtransactions, and designed to promote a long-term existence of that IP. Basically the polar opposite of how EA goes about it.

And that's why a lot of people don't like EA. Yes their customer support is fantastic, but the company behind it is not.

I don't know about Steam support, but Origin's is nice. Sadly I need to use it everytime I buy something from them because the platform sucks big time.

I shouldn't say Origin is that bad honestly, of course Steam is better, but Origin is a heck lot better than some other platforms.

Rofl, that's the dude that helped me sort The Sims 3 EA humble mess. He's quite the decent guy. You were lucky, mate, to get him in the chat. Most of the other dudes there are rude and complete idiots. Vishal actually seems to know what he's doing at support, compared with his colleagues. So yeah, rep him if you can. Dude deserves to go in a higher position in that crappy corp.
And for all my troubles he added another 2k Sim Points, which was a nice thing to do. After all, i've paid for that bundle aroyund 5$ and the friggin Sim Points are expensive.
